Why are people so mad about legacy cheaters? Just enjoy the game...
The title says everything, is just an outfit, it isn’t right to hack it, but even is a outfit hack, stills an outfit.

If you have legacy outfit, you have bragging rights. It's exclusive to show you've been around a while.

Yeah Im alright with that and I know it isn’t right to hack them but why stalking people profiles to make them get banned? Just let them live their lives and if they get banned is their problem not yours @MortisCarnifex ( the massage was talking in general, not for you xd I don’t know if you stalk accounts )

Firstly, a hacker is a hacker. Who's to say legacy is all they hacked.
Secondly, legacy means a lot to many people. It's an exclusive cosmetic the devs promised would remain exclusive and is a reward for old players. Bloodpoints gains were awful, level 10 of the bloodweb looked like level 50, the second perl slot unlocked at level 15, and it's something special to so many people.
Taking that away is a like a slap in the face to people who earned it, going "haha you've supported since 2016 and prestige before then but lol I have programs so ######### you".
I don't even have legacy (I wish I did though) but I know that it means something. You should wear it with pride.

If they can live their lives of cheating, why can’t you let other people live their lives as the tattle tale. I don’t care, I’m a console player. Just saying that’s a weird stance to take when it’s so one sided but you wanna come off as some kind of voice for reason lol.

Honestly I feel like the community should work together against hackers, because they take away from the game. Technically yeah we could mind our own business but they still cheated to get to where they are.

Wow haha @Divine_Confetti I would never hack legacy cosmetics and It isn’t a personal experience , I just asked a question to people that were with legacy to see their opinion, I have over 1300hrs in the game and stills for me the greatest game of horror but I was just asking chill out man

Well sure, no need to lose sleep over cheaters who don't affect your play.
But cheating is cheating, calling them out on it and/or reporting them is pretty normal.

Why are people mad about people who pretend to be veterans for recognition and benefits? Why are people mad about people who pretend to be handicap for extra rights? It doesn't affect you. Well, unless you have a sense of empathy like an actual human.

@thrawn3054 yeah but hacking in this game is kinda sad... you have be bad for hacking Dead By Daylight because is just boring to play and disrespectful but about the skins, that’s right, it would be a recognition thing but just a game, a skin ;( isn’t right, but is the truth.

Well, for Legendary Skins, people earned them at some point. And it was a lot of a grind. I dont own any Legendary Skins (since I did not play at that time), but if I would have played, I would have grinded my ass off.
And, also important - people who earned Legendary might have lost it. It is really annoying to see people hacking Legacy while someone who earned it and lost it, does not get it back (and does not know IF and WHEN they will get it back).
Last but not least - that they Hack Legacy does not mean that they are only doing that. I give an example:
A few weeks ago I had a Zarina in my game who was doing her Adept. She burned a Gruesome Gateu (Anniversary Item from 2019). This is impossible, because Zarina did not exist at this point. She was not cheating in the slightest ingame (at least nothing I noticed when playing Killer) and there is nothing bad at this point - she "just" hacked an Offering which gives everyone BPs.
But, nobody can say for sure that this is the only thing she has been doing. She could have hacked all Perks as well. Which is A LOT of a grind. Not fair at all, eh? And, last but not least - again, nobody knows if she is not doing some shady things like giving herself a Insta Heals or whatever.
So even players who do some Hacking which does not harm anyone should be reported and banned.

They would do good to look before they leap, but Legacy is rare.
It's not surprising they would immediately assume the worst.

i said this like 10 times @Aven_Fallen i completely agree with you and there is no need for explanation, I was wondering what people would say and as I see legacys still very defended this times and that’s good, the problem is that the devs don’t usually care much about listening about hackers and reporting looks insignificant for the devs. If they listen to the reports like a 90% of legacy owners would be banned because over 90% of the legacy owners are cheaters

I have one question that I’m very interested of knowing because I have been in this situation and I have just Dc of the game because of poor knowledge of the account,
here goes the question: if you see someone in your lobby or gane with legacy but private profile, will you send the profile to the devs or just go? It happened to me last day and I was going To send it but I just stopped and go

@gudmans same here bro, I don’t usually check anything and even if I was a legacy owner (legit) I wouldn’t care :), the sad of this people is that they care more about the exclusive things of the game rather of being happy and get fun on the game, I’m not saying to not report the hackers, but if they were legacy and you don’t know if they are legit or no, just go, there’s no need to be all time trying to ban someone, is very boring

I personally don't go looking for people who hacked legacy. Even if I see one in my lobby I don't bother checking if they got it legit or not. But if I decide to check their profile to see how many hours they got in the game just out curiosity after seeing they have legacy and I notice something suspicious I would report them.

How does it have to do with anything what I am doing with my life? I have a good life, that doesn't take away the fact that cheating ruins games. Any kind of cheat isn't okay. Even cosmetics. You cheat cosmetics, you take money away from devs who put their work and effort making them.

i once got called out as a cheater for having legacy when i had the proper archivements for it, not because it's ultra rare to see one it means it's hacked, i don't comment when i see one, i once had a legacy 3 trapper but did check the profile and this one definetly was hacked, since seeing legacy 3 is ultra mega extra rare

Some people get into a "tryhard" level to report cheaters. Like if their lives depend on it...
Anyway, legacy are just cosmetics, if people are mad just because some hackers got them by cheating, then it means they don't have any life. I don't understand why tbh
