DS off for the challenges
I changed my build for the challenges. Nightmare. Camping and tunneling at its finest. 3 games in a row no one had DS and killers saw that because no obsession.
That's why i ran DS every single game.

Yep, no DS = open season for tunneling by killers. They complain about DS because of misuse, but without it they are the ones that just exploit that weakness. Hypocrites.

sure, isn't it obvious. When devs nerfed healing people started the anti-heal meta. Since devs buffed decisive into 60 seconds god mode, people tend to tunnel harder if there's no obsession.

Yep. That's why the forums are filled with "nerf DS already".
Most of them are campers and tunnelers and they cry on forums when they get stabed.

I don't remember the last time I got hit by DS as a killer lol. And I don't run it as survivor but when I get tunneled hard I wish I had it. DS wouldn't be so popular if tunneling wasn't so popular.

They are predisposed to tunnel anyway. Removing DS does not suddenly make killers play nice.

Ah yes, every killer does that. Every one. Yep. So when I'm chasing a person as PHead and, as they're being chased, they uncage someone, and I mess up the ranged shot and only hit the person who was in the cage, me abandoning the caged person and continuing to chase the sandbagger means it's 5 survivors and 0 killers. Got it.

I personally think that however you need to win on both sides is fair play. If someone face camps or tunnels, other survivors still have a chance to escape by just doing objectives, and they can get punished by things like DS. If a survivor needs Dead Hard, DS, Adrenaline, and Unbreakable to win, the perks are in the game, they're usable, and are 100% fair play. I'm a killer main, and don't get me wrong, its annoying, but its part of the game, just like I can have NOED and Wall hacks with certain perks, you can have DS and second chances with certain perks. I honestly think its more fun to not expect ds, get hit with it, and reinstate that chase. It adds more suspense on both sides, and really makes you feel like you're hunting characters who are fighting for their lives. Its just a cool aspect to me.

Idk. I know that I don't "Exploit" it unless the team is really good in which case, all bets are off. That doesn't mean I'm going to tunnel you out of the game. But if I catch you in an area after recently being unhooked when I'm patrolling, I'm going to slug and hook you. I'm not obligated to give you a 2nd chance just as you're not obligated to give me hooks.

Yeah, I’m experiencing the same thing. Even in games with an Obsession the killer still tunnels straight off the hook because more often than not, only one person in the game has DS, probably because people are expecting to face Pyramid Head. It’s in all of my builds now until people calm down.

Yeah basically this - if tunneling wasn't so common and strong, survivors wouldn't take a perk that sees little to no use.
But since tunneling is common and strong - here's the threat of DS to keep people honest.

Any of you are welcome to propose why tunnling isn't an effective strategy
It's almost required at high ranks to win

ds can revert the match momentum, if there's an obsession smart killers won't pick up a potential ds, unless the killer can afford it.

I'm in midranks and unless the survivors are screwing around or popped by Haunted those gens fly. Starting to see why high ranks tunnel down survivors but I don't if I can help it. Though there are always those survivors that run away once unhooked as their savior just walks so the unhooked gets caught.

Yeah it's vulnerable spot to be in after getting unhooked - if the killer is coming back you either walk and probably get caught anyway because you are making so much noise and leaving blood everywhere, or you try to make distance which leaves scratch marks.
