Underrated Perks Pt. 7: Quick and Quiet
I'm back with a series of discussion posts about perks that I think are underappreciated and players should try using more often. For all of these posts, feel free to give your thoughts on if you agree and why, or why you think the perk is meh.
Been a while since I've done one of these huh? We're going back to survivor perks for the moment, because I've been doing some experimenting to see if there are any perks I've overlooked, and I believe I've found one.
Quick and Quiet is a perk that most people will agree is useful, but many people choose not to run it in favor of stronger perks, or see it as not worth running all the time. But upon giving it a fair chance and using it as often as I was allowed to, I found it's very good in, perhaps unsurprisingly, escaping the killer in chases.
This perk has strong synergies with a few other perks, namely Dance With Me, Lithe, and Head On. My personal favorite use of Quick and Quiet is to quickly hide in lockers. When used correctly, many killers won't expect you to do this, and will be confused by scratch marks. Even when I was injured, I managed to pull off some real Houdini maneuvers. And given the perk's relatively short cooldown, it will almost always be available when you most need it.
Is it the best perk in the game? Of course not. Is it fun to use? It sure is!
What does everyone think?

I love quick and quiet, especially with the build Head On, Quick and Quiet, Inner Strength, and Detectives Hunch. I hop in a locker fast and if I’m injured I start healing, then my head on starts up and I can stun if I have to. Quick and Quiet can confuse the killer for a time and I can sometimes pull off a mid-chase heal. Definitely love this perk.
