no better than steam discussions
we'd rather cause an argument than start a discussion about an issue because waah waah it's us vs. them and i can't fathom the concept that we're all just trying to enjoy a video game

That clip doesnt prove anything at all. Its not the killer perspective, neither the survivors perspective. A third view isnt reliable at all. Also ive seen such issues maybe once in a while at all, while false hits at pallets are a consistent every game issue.

Because latency is a #########. On my screen I was clear. On the killers screen I wasn't. I take the hit and call bullshit. Everything seems legitimate to him. Same with pallets. Unfortunately this game is ridiculously bad for latency causing misunderstandings.

If my perspective were unreliable the Wraith would have teleported to their true position after the stun animation completed. The wraith himself confirmed he was nowhere near the pallet, and if latency were an issue in the clip (it isn't) you can clearly see he is walking in a straight line of which at no point was he in range of the pallet's model.
I see this happen fairly often, once every 7-8 or so games. Also consider that your experience doesn't determine everyone else's.

So dropping a pallet is now considered an exploit? The stun hitboxes on pallets are pretty goofy, but calling it an exploit is a stretch.

Did you read the post? Pulling a pallet is obviously not an exploit.

This happens a lot if you play with huntress, but over time you learn what is the correct distance to avoid receiving a stun. It is nothing new and it is not a problem

But you're saying that the survivors stunning the killer with the pallet and using its hitbox is an exploit, when it could be that they think the killer is in range for a pallet stun and it works etc. Unless I'm misreading what you said and in that case I apologise.

He wouldnt have teleported anywhere if it would have been latency.

As said above hits through pallets happen way, way, way more often.

I'm not calling it an exploit, that would be pretty stupid. I am saying they exploit this fact. You could substitute the word exploit with abuse if you'd like.

If my latency affected his true position it would correct itself in the exact amount of time my ping equates to. That is, quite literally, how latency works.
EDIT: In the case of a dedicated server, it would be the amount of time my ping equates to AND the amount of time the other player's ping equates to, since that data has to travel to the server from the player first, and finally to me. When Dead by Daylight used P2P it would only take my ping into account.

I don't understand why some killers constantly complain about being stunned on the other side of pallets (rightfully so btw) but yet don't seem to care at all when they get a hit who is absolutely nowhere near the actual survivor.
Many killers exploit this by going for hits they can see aren't touching the killer's weapon but will still do so because they know the hitbox in pallets is stupidly huge and it will still register.
They're both issues that need to be resolved and yet it seems so one sided.

epic and funny
the thing is, I actually do care about hitting survivors on the other side of pallets and every time I notice it happening I give them another chance off my shoulder

"Consider your experience foesnt determine everyone elses"
Proceeds to use personal, anecdotal evidence to prove point.

Thats not how latency works.

How brainless are you, exactly? I never claimed my experience directly matches anybody else's.

you are wrong if you think that others are like you who only play one side and want to have fun at the expense of the other's fun
