Trail of Torment

The response we got in the "QnA" was that the reason for this perk giving the survivors the yellow gen was so the killer can mindgame (within 16 seconds?) and so the survivors know something has happened. I'm sorry but what on earth is that reasoning. Does tinkerer give you a warning? No. Does dark devotion? No. There are countless other perks that also don't hold the survivors hand so why the ######### does this one? Just feels like such a waste on what could be a really fun perk. Instead we get the rank 20 dev who also said that clown has an underrated power, giving the survivor a helping hand for literally no reason. Complete joke.

I must say I also disliked this perk. It reminds me of when Ghostface was released on the PTB and used to give a global sound warning when he was entering or leaving stealth mode. What's the point of being undetectable if the survivors will be warned you are stealthy, and even where you activated it? Not to mention the duration is too short, how can you kick a gen, find survivors and sneak up on them within 16 seconds?

It becomes more useful if you blind the survivors with Hex: the third seal, or add-ons like legions Smiley Face Pin (brown), PH's Rust-Coloured Egg, Or Pigs Face mask. If you do, Survivors no longer see the generators aura, and don't know you've activated it, which leads to some fun surprise attack moments. Unfortunately, its still too brief of a stealth period, has too long of a cooldown between activation's, and having to blind the survivors before using it just to make it useful is a real chore when you can get a similar effect that lasts for longer, and isn't as obvious, just by using Dark Devotion.
