Outline tunnel/ camp and why its never ever going to change from the dev official

The following is my take and understand feel free to refine and critique

We could kill over half the threads in the forum

Facecamping got patched out and doesn't exist. You used to be able to afk bodyblock as the killer and people physically could not save you because the killers body was blocking the front. You can unhook from the sides now stop saying everything is a facecamp.

Camping- anywhere near the hook.

A valid killer decision thats costly in time and actively discouraged in emblem and in bloodpoints. Its also only rewarding in overly altruistic teams with poor communications.

Proxy camping- within sight of the hook or hook entrance, patrolling in a wide area to injure the rescuer and punish the save by getting back quickly


Its not going away.

Its the killers choice and its decided entirely on if the killer feels he has enough time to find and win chases often.


Based on objective times alone a 12 hook game is 35seconds for a find-chase-hit-down-carry-hook repeated 12 times perfectly with less then 35 seconds at base. With perks, tools, loops, skillchecks its possible to waste tons of killer time with no effort.

While a single toolbox reduces your time by 12 seconds or great skillchecks reducing your killer hook time by 20-40 seconds approx.

In gen rush meta with second chance perks in every loadout slot average or poor killers aren't comfortable with that 35seconds.

Not every killer has that kinda power to end chases or cover the distance needed.


Tunnling- A chase

Surviors don't like being chased. This is the word they use to be salty about it.

Some will claim. Its going after the same person to often or even ignoring all other survivors to kill that person extra dead.

Either way you can't tell a killer who to go after.

You CANT tell a killer he can't go after the most vulnerable person to reduce pressure.

Sometimes the killer just finds you again before someone else because you didn't hide hes not going to ignore that when he's so pressed for time.

Killing someone early whos good helps make the 1 v 4 a 1v3 and that's a less stressful game.


As much as you all hate it.

Camping and tunnling are the logical decisions given the core gameplay
