I said it before and I'll say it again. PLEASE OPTIMIZE CONSOLE
Literally EVERYTHING you do on console results in a lag spike. Demogorgan, Ghostface, and Trapper walking near walls? Lag Spike. Deadhard is used? Lag spike. Bloodlust activates? Lag spike. It's also EXTREMELY noticeable with Pyramid Head given there is a lag spike each time he uses his ranged.
I'll post this here again in case someone who sees this is new, or you need a refresher.
BHVR, please for the love of GOD optimize console better before you add the graphical updates. Or at least say they will be better when the update is released. If the game is this bad or even worse because of the update, you will lose a LOT of console players very very quickly.

Yeah lately it's been getting more and more frustrating. I play on ps4 as a Killer mainly and it's a pain everytime I use Doctors charge or go for a lunged basic attack the survivors almost flicker when they 360 spin on me. It's extremely more frustrating when you get bombarded by SWFs.

Yeah, bad framerate in general is the biggest problem on console. And it feels like I've been the only one talking about it.

I don’t really see a major problem on my PS4, it’s years old now but there isn’t any large frame rate issues during normal gameplay for me. Gaining any effect, more noticeably Bloodlust, does give me a lag spike and while in the Dream World, Killer or Survivor, I do suffer from lower frame rate.
On the other hand, I do have a couple odd games, maybe one in twenty, where the frame rate is below the usual but it might be my connection to the server or internet connection, not sure.

It's an issue with the harddrive. Well actually with dbd but it's the harddrive causing it due to bad coding of dbd. If you change it with an SSD the lagspikes will be gone (at least for me it was the case)

That's the thing, I shouldn't have to change the SSD for better frames. I already bought a $400 console, I shouldn't have to spend an extra $100 just to play this with better frames.

And I totally agree with you. I was going to do am ssd upgrade anyway and just by accident I noticed that all the lagspikes were gone. This was also only happening with dbd which makes me conclude that DbD is the issue and has some bad codings

Console definitely needs to be optimized more otherwise the graphical update won't even work. My PlayStation already sounds like a jet engine whenever I go onto the start screen.
