Pride outfits? Yes/No?
I know BVHR stands with the LGBTQIA+ community, but I'm wondering if we will see any super cute pride outfits? I think it could be a cute idea.

I'm guessing not since Pride month has almost come to a close, a pity really.

Should have been a genuine gesture of love and good will with a free collection of pieces for our community. 4-6 items for showing solidarity is not a whole lot and would have gone a nice hop, skip and jump towards showing me they are one capitalist venue that might actually give a ######### about us. One vague tweet? Too little, too late.
6 -
A tweet is more than some have done though.
2 -
They probably could just recolor a charm (like a Heart symbol), quick and simple and could include a lot of different people.
The only issue then becomes depending on how many they do how cluttered your charm list becomes.

I do not think this is a good idea at all. If you looked at the comments on some of their social media, some users use very choice words when describing their opinion of BHVR using pride emotes on their discord.
Im afraid that some players may target people wearing Pride cosmetics and charms. I believe a post and some emotes for their discord is fine. The LGBT+ community does not need to be harassed in game.

Sorry, sib, I don't give thanks for bare minimum effort. I expect more from any self-proclaimed "allies". Especially 4 years in.
5 -
I already see those posts coming:
"the killer tunneled me because I had pride cosmetics! He is against gay people, bhvr pls ban him"
I would rather not deal with that honestly.
28 -
I'd rather be tunneled in game for who I am then BHVR not showing full support because lgbtq+phobes are angery.
11 -
Of course they do, every company on Earth does, on June. On July, we don't exist anymore.
Sure, let them exploit Pride Month even further with $10 outfits.
3 -
I don't see why not. Could have them be part of a charity set.
3 -
I’m sorry if I’ve offended you or something like that, I’m not LGBT+, just an ally, so I can’t really empathise with you.
I just feel like equipping the cosmetics could not only make the game harder for you, but for the Devs. I imagine it could bring a heck of a lot of reports that can’t be solved because there is no evidence. You can’t say “he tunnelled me because of my pride outfit” because the killer could justify it as ordinary tunnelling. I’m glad you’re proud of who you are but I’d rather the LGBT+ Community not have to worry about being discriminated against on a game that is meant to be for enjoyment.
That being said, I suppose you could just unequip the outfit if you felt like you were being targeted for that reason...? Keeping in mind that they are completely optional to wear, maybe my stance has changed slightly- it wouldn’t be wholly a bad idea.
1 -
And it will happen.
10000000% it will happen. They will get tunneled, moried, camped, harrassed.
It. Will. Happen.
7 -
People target people with TTV in their name already.. I don't think that's reason to not..
6 -
You could feasibly say that the killer tunneled you for pride cosmetics if they say explicitly that they did via the endgame chat. But this could be easily remidied by BHVR explicitly saying to not report without the proper evidence.
And not trying to be rude, I understand where you're coming from, but please don't try to speak for the lgbtq+ community without being a part of it yourself. Much love.
3 -
I’m not sure if that applies, I’m pretty sure most people tunnel Twitchies for bragging rights and exposure.
6 -
Some people hate when they are pandered too, some people beg for the pandering. Maybe next time.
3 -
Have you not seen the complaints about being tunneled and moried for being Lisa? That will just be amplified for wearing rainbow clothes.
3 -
these were made by https://twitter.com/EscaPlays/status/1197690414175784960
i would love to have charms like these, just as a little something.
5 -
I understand your point but if you read over what I was saying, I’m not speaking on behalf of anyone, I’m sharing my point of view on the subject, which might I say is incredibly likely.
Furthermore, I’m not sure how long the endgame chat will be in DbD. Cross play is coming to DbD and Console players would be typing 10x slower than PC players. You might have to be a PC player for the events of what you described to happen. If the killers know that you could get banned for saying slurs in the endgame chat, they simply wouldn’t say anything and boom, you’re left with no evidence.
Much love in return, also.

I feel like they should do pride flag charms. 🏳️🌈 but like for every variation and identity, etc.
1 -
Pander: gratify or indulge (an immoral or distasteful desire, need, or habit or a person with such a desire, etc.).
Support: give approval, comfort, or encouragement to.

I would happily loop/tunnel any phobe and make them look like a clown(and not our jolly drunken one), just saying.
4 -
So no one can have an opinion but the people in the community?
Very "inclusive" of you, very diverse.
I'd like to apologize on that individual's behalf. Not everyone who are apart of the LGBT community are like that. Many of us are open minded and don't shun everyone who doesn't agree with us. They make us look bad. Ignore her comment.
7 -
Agreed, considering how toxic this community can be, releasing Pride items could lead to targetted harrassment.
4 -
Honestly it's just really out of place. I mean this is a game about malicious killers sacrificing innocent people to a celestial terror deity. I get representation and support but it doesn't belong in DBD. Even though a few killers are set in the past during periods of war and such I'm sure BHVR doesn't want to bring in current world politics. They probably don't want to deal with either side of it to be completely fair. It just doesn't have a place in the entities realm.
8 -
That is ######### adorable.

I honestly think because of the responses they're received the past month, they might not just do anything LGBT oriented.
It brings hostility all around.
1 -
I bet you would! Others however may not be as lucky.
1 -
Great way to twist someone's words. I never once was rude to them, I even specified that I wasn't trying to be, and ended with much love.
2 -
Yeah you can't please either side is exactly when I'm saying. It's out of place and people are going to want more or people are going to want it gone. It's too much of a mess to deal with.
3 -
I’m sorry I don’t know how to get rid of two of these things. Thank you for your concern but I think she has some valid points! I don’t completely understand what the community is going through so i really shouldn’t speak my opinion when I don’t understand the targeted point of view!
2 -
From my perspective it's not worth the trouble it will bring. Personally I don't really care about cosmetics and I don't use charms. So I have no investment in the matter.

Bill in rainbow booty shorts? Yes please.
4 -
Thank you mr dictionary. I know what the words mean and I stick by what I said. There are so many companies out there who pander and dont really care and all they want is our money ... then there are companies who treat it fairly and with actual care, which feels truly supportive. Wasnt there a thread earlier about releasing the sexual orientations of the entire roster, both killer and survivor side? Some people like myself who are part of the lgbt community want it to be handled naturally not hamfisted in there because its "rainbow flag day."
Now dont get me wrong, if they did drop charms or a shirt or two, I would roll my eyes and still throw it up on my hooks/survivor ... but it doesnt change the fact that it wouldnt feel natural to me, it would feel like "everyone else is doing it so why dont we." It would mean more to me if they did it and it WASNT pride month, yadda yadda.
My two bits ... y'all keep going on if it makes you happy to talk about it ... those are just my feelings on the matter.
3 -
Why
3 -
Thank you but what they said was completely right- perhaps I shouldn’t speak out about my opinion over an issue where I can’t empathise with the target audience. I really don’t cause offence or accidentally insult anyone!
Edit: I didn’t see that the post had went to a second page and I thought my original comment was deleted! Sorry!
1 -
We're suppose to be a community that invites all sorts of opinions, we're suppose to be tolerant, open minded.
Not shun people out. You can state your opinion, that's your opinion and even if we don't agree with you, it doesn't give us the authority to shun it out. It's unfair.
4 -
I'd want some rainbow charm. Asking for a full outfit is risky...I mean not really a fan of glitter and #########
0 -
I'm literally talking about an outfit. Idk what this has to do with anything being in the "entities realm." Did they not release a Kate Denson outfit with pigtails and a very interesting outfit? What does that have to do with the entities realm? Very skewed argument you have there...
2 -
Yeah, sorry, I read a bit too deeply sometimes when it comes to issues with the lgbtq+ community because I'm very passionate about our inclusion. I understand your points and where you're coming from.
2 -
Should have been a free update today with some pride cosmetics.
2 -
Y'all, You know Meg Thomas already has a rainbow jacket? I'm just saying I'd like other cute cosmetics with some FLUBBIN rainbows!
0 -
No worries, we all show our passion in our own ways. Discourse is always a better way of reaching an understanding, i accept responsibility for being vague in my first post.. Thank you for at least considering my point of view, but dont stop fighting for yours.

Wacky outifts aren't the problem. The problem is BHVR doesn't want to be bullied into making things that don't belong in their game. The kate outfit doesn't have any significance in the real world, because it's a game cosmetic. Putting all sorts of flags is just going to cause a ######### storm. I don't see why having a pride skin in DBD. It's the same reason they aren't giving us the "Wazzup" Ghost-face. It's out of place in the game. At the end of the day this is a horror game, not a twitter safe space. Putting it in is like mixing your cereal with water. Sure, it's still cereal but now its less appetizing.

Girl, no one said anything about flags.
2 -
It's not about the flags it's about the symbolism. Flags are just the first thing that popped up in my head.

I'm glad we don't have survivors of different races, they'll be targeted by racists... Oh wait...
Not adding pride cosmetics over possibly being targeted is a weak excuse - killers will look for any lame reason to justify tunneling/camping/mori, not adding a pride cosmetic won't stop that. Not adding pride cosmetics because a rainbow cosmetic not fitting in is a poor excuse when there's already multiple neon colorful outfits in the game. If BHVR decides to add the outfits and you're scared of being targeted or don't think it fits then don't wear it, others who want to wear it I'm sure will be just fine.
2 -
I'd be fine with a few pride themed outfits for select characters. Could be a simple as a small pride earing or bracelet. I'd probably throw on a pride earing.
2 -
Isn't pride cosmetics like with bright and pastel colors?
0 -
I think it'd be a great idea, but I'm worried about the increase in toxicity. I could easily see players using their pride cosmetics/charms as a reason to get innocents banned. They could get salty and try to say that someone tunneled them because of the pride cosmetics/charms, which creates problems for both the reported player (fear that they'll get banned) and BHVR (having to look through tons of false reports in case one of them turns to be real). I can also see players trying to harass anyone using the cosmetics/charms. Killers already do it for people playing Claudette or Lisa.
