Why are licensed survivours/killers allowed to interact with crown???

Ive gotten so close to getting one and then see some PH or Cheryl get it first. They shouldnt be able to interact at all if they can't unlock it. 😞

    I'm really confused how this crown thing even works. Do we have to play as one of the 4 orginals to get it or do we get it just from picking it up as anyone. I had it as Laurie and a Cherly also had one, but we died in the trial.

    Un-licensed characters can receive cosmetics.

    It’s because getting the crown offers extra bp, to be fair it’s only an extra 750 bp all up, but it’s worth something I guess.

    Also, as killer it seems you can get rid of it. Twice now I've attacked it trying to lead a survivor to it, and it just vanishes.

    Also once when I just swung near it. This made me wonder if they teleport randomly and it was just coincidence?

    Why would you think that you have to play as the 4 "original" survivors? Cheryl and Laurie are licensed so they can't get it. Not that you would have anyway since you died.

    When you play as a survivor you need to pick it up and escape. This will unlock it for that Survivor.

    As Killer you grab it and then play until the trial is over. That will unlock it for that Killer.

    i think the crowns are time based? i found one and just stood there staring at it to see what happened and it just vanished at some point. didnt swing, didnt even move. so, either its random or based on time... who knows, i really wish the devs gave us any information on this stuff

    I just escaped a match with Cheryl while having the crown thinking a random non-licensed survivor would get it, but nope!

    That's stupid!

    But yeah, I won't be touching the crown anymore if I'm playing a licensed character.

    This seems like a major oversight and it allows people to screw over others...

    The only reason I tried this was because a Feng with the crown on her yoinked the crown right in front of me, when I was playing Kate. So I thought that if you had it already, you'd get it on a different character.

    In seeing the same jerks in other matches taking a crown for their licensed characters. The same people! Makes me sick! Once you unlock it for your character or cant unlock it, the crowns shouldnt show up for you anymore!

    Before I realized this I grabbed like 7 as Pig(3 in a single trial) :/ Now resolving to NOT kill any Survies in my trials during this event. And also share my delicious cakey. :3

    Sounds like the way to go for killer is just ignore these things, and just let survivors be more off task. And glowing!
