Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Tunnel Vision Killers

So, why must certain killer tunnel vision only one person the WHOLE match, especially when they are NOT the obsession? Especially when there are other survivors RIGHT THERE and they completely ignore the others just for that ONE. I just don't understand 😐

Maybe the survivore isn't objectively the obsession but for the player is.

Killers gonna kill, get used to it.

    That's all.

because they want to. It'll lose them the game most of the time

Some killers just have a hate for certain survivors. I started playing as Claudette again and I was getting tunneled 5 matches in a row. No reason for it. I don't T-Bag or click flashlights. I just did Gens, Totems and unhooks and I was target number one over and over. Sometimes there isn't even a reason. You're just 'there'.

I like how people rationalize things like, "The killer is chasing me, they must hate my character/name/colors/etc!!!!"

No, the killer just wants you dead and you're probably easy to catch if they're going after you more often. Sorry.

Because it is easier to get looped for 5 Gens, ignoring Survivors working on said Generators just to assume they lost against a 4 man SWF and to have a reason to open a Thread in the Forums to either complain about SWF or Gen Times.

If you're one of the first people hooked they might be trying to get someone out the game as soon as possible. As much as no one likes to be tunneled, the game encourages it.

Because I have friends who ask constantly so I figured I would ask it on the forum and get other opinions 💁🏽

It’s probably one of two reasons:

    1. You’re easy to catch and therefore an easy kill.
    2. You’re really difficult to catch so they become stubborn and fixate on killing you above all others.

Could be other reasons, like they hate Blendettes or Object of Obsession ot whatever, but it’s usually one of those two.

What trips me out is the only fun part of being survivor is getting chased. Otherwise its just hold m1. I would think the person being tunneled for 5 gens would be ecstatic and everyone else in the game would be irritated 🤷‍♂️

I dunno what rank you are but less experienced killers will easily get fixated on a survivor and end up tunneling. The lack of experience means less confidence and they build up confidence by tunneling out at least one survivor, making the time management a lil easier to manage. IMO.
