how many crowns are in the game

i have been told there are only two but i have seen three survivors and a killer have the shiny. how does it work does it spawn more when gens get done

  Always when anyone picks them up, they respawn. There can only be one crown at once. If no one picks it up it despawns and spawns again in a other location.
