Leather face camping.....
So for the past two days. I have had leatherfaces camp someone on a hook with his chainsaw all up in our faces. I mean is this an actual strat? This makes the game so unenjoyable. I just want to know what you guys think. Is it a strat? What do you guys think of it? Because for me it happends a lot
Btw if there are grammar mistakes, its like 3 am for me and I cant see lol

Devs have said time AND TIME again that camping and tunneling are valid strats. Another poster here said that they are really good and fair if used at the right time, and I agree with this.
Not everyone is going to play in a way that you like, you'll just have to deal with it.

Ive done it, its boring as ######### to play that way and youre not going to progress beyond the lower ranks. If youre running into it a lot get to the higher ranks, it still happens but its rare

Leatherface is uniquely perfect for facecamp and not too much else. Never be surprised if they just stand there forever. If they didn't want to facecamp they would have probably picked hillbilly.

I have seen a good leatherface that did not camp not even once and got all of us, I even praised the killer for it, since those types actually play it right and deserve a praise. While all the other facecamping leatherfaces is the biggest reason for high toxicity in this game and it even supports it if the devs don't make their points more punished for doing it. Why must all the other survivors get low score just because the killer decides to play toxic easy gamestyle? Facecamping right at the start with no way to save till hooked survivor dies sounds like taking the game hostage. Losing your rare items and not even getting a chance to play the actual game if you get spotted first. I don't mind tunneling cause you can actually try and defend yourself and have more time but with facecamping get spotted first and its just game over for you with low points and deranking. Leatherfaces have such a bad reputation because of high amount of people abusing his facecamping style, there needs to be something done so theres less of them. Like how come survivors being idle too long reveal crows on their heads which also deactivates some of the perks like head on but not killers? Killers should have a punishment aswell for staying in one place too long.

Coming across 1 dude who managed to kill everyone does not make leatherface a good killer. Hes awful. Thats why people camp with him, because he sucks at everything else

A basement bubba is a Guy, sometimes he runs a Bar on the ground floor, the boy does not offer a drink but a warm company and he really loves company. Sometimes he doesn't even want to go out for hours... That's the reason for Basement Bubba, it's not about camping, tunneling, it's about friends and companionship ^..^ There is a relationship of hate and love with Bubba but everyone loves him!

These past few days I've played a lot of bubbas, more than usual. I ran into at 7-10 bubbas, 3 in a row. They all had the same build dam near with perks like insidious, iron grasp, noed and some other random perk. It amazes me so much how s**t these people are for camping, but yes sadly it is a "strat" a terrible one but it works, for one kill only at least. If your teammates decide to save you and they die that's on them. Just buy your team time. I play donkey kong country on my gameboy while I'm being camped, till I get into 2nd phase at least.

is it a strat? sure. is it a good strat? no
just don't feed him, let him have his one kill and do the rest of the gens while he revs his chainsaw mindlessly rather than participating, it's not fun but it happens. sometimes killers have one bad round and then determine to suck all the joy out of whoever happens upon them next, they're just venting their rage about being ineffective, talentless, and boring. pity them and move on is my advice. hope it gets less frequent for you though!

Always camped by GhostFace but what can you do 🤷♂️. When I’m Claudette blending in with the environment is my best friend 😀. Never have been camped by my fellow wraiths I play on both sides.

It can be considered a strat given that his ability is close range and directly in front of him, but for when he does that, it's best to just leave them on hook and complete the gens since it's just a suicide mission at that point.

The thing I forgot to mention is that the killer will message me saying I gave them no choice but to camp. Like really? I am never toxic, I dont even know how to use a flashlight

DBD has the magic no others games have: "you are allowed to be pretty much all the bad you want as killer"
so facecamping bubba, torturing hooked survs, nodding head, carrying a surv to the hatch and close in his/her face, etc... is something pretty fun, no matter about the BPs and you got priceless laughters at end game chat with suvs raging, specially if killed them with Bloodwarden too!

i see leatherface get 2-3-4 kills all the time just camping, the games dumb for being ok with this sht tbh, i know just let the guy hang but usually people dont because they feel bad its fkd up to ok this as ive been saying for 4 years. im not leaving a friend on a hook either to some bum ass killer wjo cant even get bloodlust cuz he fking sucks

I've had this happen before. First time it happened, I was thinking how is this allowed? The only way I can see countering this is letting the person stay on the hook while everyone else fixes gens. If I'm the one on the hook and I'm dealing with a camper, I just purposely die and que for the next game. Camping needs some sort of fix, that's for sure.

I rarely see one that doesn't camp. They do exist though. He needs some kind of rework or something to make him more viable. It's boring either way. You either sit on a hook and wait for your teammates to finish gens (if they are smart),or sit there and hold a single button doing a gen knowing there's no threat until the person on the hook dies.

That is what I'm trying to say. I had a leatherface camp a meg and all the gens were done so me and my team tried to save her. We all got downed but saved the meg and I got stuck on the hill and he couldnt pick me up. Then I fell off the hill and he said "cheaters never win" and complained that we played in a toxic and unfair way.

This kinda explains the 3 messages I've received on PS4 today. Started playing Bubba for the first time and I got told I was 'playing him wrong, I should be camping in basement'. I mean, I always see it myself but really? Is it that much of a shock that someone doesn't camp with him?

I find that wraiths camp more than bubbas. If survivors actually gen rushed during camping, 3 of the 4 survivors escape and the killer loses, yet survivors seem to wanna play hero and try and save a lost cause.

I dont see alot of Leatherfaces. When i do see one i always expect an insidious Bubba or a player who just got wrecked in his last game coming to take out his frustration on the next set of survivors by facecamping them chainsaw revving.
Do gens, punish him. Dont be stupid and swarm the hook. Sacrifice one to get 3 out, simple.

This has hapoened to me before, i played feng and a leatherface downed a survivor and went to the basement. I went down and he had insidious and stood in the corner. I got downed and my teammate was mori'd. The next game i get another LF who is sat at the hook with his chainsaw revving. It seems to me like this is a good strategy for insta down killers like LF.
