Do pigs traps kill you if you leave via the exit gates?
So i had a trp on my head and i got grabbed from a box so the pig tried it make it so when i wiggled off i landed in the exit gate exit area (to kill me from the traps) but i didnt die? i got the escape points and survived. Is this a bug or is there pig changes.

If its activated, and you go through the trigger threshold yourself, then it'll pop. If it aint active, or the pig carries you across the invisible line in the gate that is the trigger threshold, you can escape

If she puts the trap AFTER the last gen is finished you can walk the gate.

I thought the trap was always activated? Help me understand this trap?
Ive been playing since last september and only wear trap a few times! Everytime I was able to find the key.
How can you wear an un-activated trap?

The trap will only activate if a gen is completed while you are wearing it. So if the timer hasn't started, you can leave the exit gate. If it has, you have until the timer runs out to get the key before it insta-kills you. If you try to escape through the gate with an activated trap, it'll trigger and kill you.

a certain amount of gens have to pop too activate it if i remember rightly thats how it works so by exit gate time im pretty sure it would be active or should be could be a bug someone escaping with it wouldnt surprise me tbh lol

Remember playing with my younger bro when he was new to the game and I was going to show him the trap going off if you tried to leave.
Cue massive disappointment when I escaped because the Pig trapped me after we got all the gens done lol.

This is incorrect. The first gen that pops after the trap has been placed on your head will activate it. you only need 1 gen to pop for it to activate.

Sounds like it was put on you after the last gen popped and the killer took you to the exit gate to try and help you survive/escape (not to kill you)
just so you know, if the trap IS active, you CANT go through the exit gates until you get it off. You CAN escape through the hatch with it still on.
if the trap isn’t active then you can go through the exit gates or hatch.

For some reason I read this as do pigtails kill you. I never knew the thing about the exit gate border but it makes sense because the Trap kills before the actual exit point.

The trap becomes active when a gen i spopped.
say 3 gens are left, she puts a trap on . The trap will only become active/start the countdown when the next gen is popped

it was put on before the last gen so it was active (it also started beeping like crazy when i went near the gate
But i escaped because it doesnt kill you if they force you over the exit thresh-hold (drop you/make you go there with the wiggle time)
