I'm gonna face camp and tunnel everytime survivors bring me to Haddonfield.
Idk about other killers, but I am getting send to Haddonfield at least daily. There are four survivors and there is a high chance at least one of them will bring a map offering.
The map is just not fun. If the game gives it to us by chance, fine, but im sick of being brought there.
People are tunneling Lisa so that the devs will notice peoples problem with her, and I think killers should do the same with Haddonfield so the devs fix the map. Even if they don't fix it, survivors would stop spamming that offering if killers facecamp and tunnel.

As both a survivor and killer main I think you should just chill it’s just a map offering.You shouldn’t go out of your way just to go after a survivor for that reason plus the offerings are anonymous at the beginning of the match I have maps I don’t like but I don’t go out of my way to ruin someone’s game experience just because I don’t like the map offering.

I dont completely agree with it, but people are against the price of the legendary skin and the fact that it doesn't have its own voice or movement. To protest this, killers are tunneling her so the devs will notice their issue.

Nah dude, I feel your pain, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to ruin someone else's fun because they brought in an offering, just see how it plays out and maybe still get the 4k. Otherwise just use your own map offerings to lessen the chance.

I honestly don't think they will care, like everyone also hates the stupid crowns but they aren't doing anything about it most likely, and honestly its a licensed dlc it might be a lot of work to change something like a skin (with the actual owners of Cheryl and Lisa)

Ormond can be brutal for genrushing, but I at least have fun. Even if I manage to 4k on Haddonfield I don't have fun, the map is just frustrating.

Do it brother. Personally I wouldn't do this but I understand your frustrations with that map 100%. I honestly think it should be reworked at some point because it's insane how survivor favored it is (how the ######### has the Myers' house not been changed, good lord).

I close the game when they bring a haddonfield offering, killer queues take 20 seconds anyways

i play both roles and yeah there's sometime when someone using this map offering for bad intention, but i'm always using map offering randomly sometime i use the game offering as survivor (and i get -rep everytime use it) or use coldwind farm / haddonfield as killer but i'm just want to wasting my offering 'cause why not ?

As someone who has enough hours to be done with haddonfield 100 times over, Go for it just because you dislike a map shouldn't mean you cant play the game how you want sure it might bother other people that you do that stuff on haddonfield but hey if they brought an offering to make you suffer might as well drag them down with you.

From my experience it's absolute suffering for killers with no mobility. This is even worse if they take perks like Balanced Landing for those Myers house shenanigans

Pro tip: if you use your own map offering you cut down the chances to go to a map you hate by a lot.

I usually just play the match but if its a regular occurrence or im having a bad day i dc in the loading screen

Gens are really hard to patrol, it’s difficult to move around due to all the walls, survivors can mostly see/hear you coming and there are tons of places to hide so hiding is more viable than on a lot of other maps. The houses are just too safe with quite a lot of safe windows, plus all the pallets are decently safe too. Unless you get lucky outside gen spawns, chances are you can’t defend the gens at all.
A lot of survivors don’t make good use of the map, but if you get a team that knows what they’re doing it’s really unfun.

Yep, it's insane that the last time they pulled map stats it had over a 50% kill ratio BEFORE BL was changed. SO SURVIVOR SIDED. I'll never understand when people complain that maps are survivor sided. The last time they released map stats every map had OVER a 50% kill rate, the only ones where people always said "were survivor sided" had only SLIGHTLY over 50%(the lowest kill rate map was 53%, which btw, 50% would be considered balanced. Killer sided maps had a lot higher iirc).
People need to stop using their feelings and arguing them like they're facts despite given contradictory statistics, it's a big problem with the world today.

Depending on how it spawns if your playing huntress/Deathlinger there can be infinite loops.
From a personal perspective(On both sides) its just there are a lot of extremely safe generators if you have balanced landing which tends to let you get away with rushing said gens harder(2nd floor gens either right by a window or on a balcony) later into the game with extreme safety.
Also basement generator's sounds can glitch out making hearing to check their progress when you patrol the building impossible.

Okay, it has a 56% kill rate, roughly meaning that usually killers get a 2K or a 3K on this map. You know what else is interesting? The most played/strongest killers during the 3 month window these stats were pulled were Spirit and Freddy. You know, the killers that have insane chase AND gen pressure.

The most played/strongest killers are usually the ones that have those anyways. What does that have to do with anything? Spirit and Freddy are still top tier killers and are still played quite often.
Besides if anything Spirit would likely struggle more on Haddonfield because of the windows, and Freddy would work the same as he did on any other map, except maybe have an easier time due to the map being smaller.

Those statistics cannot be referred for balance because it includes all players, from rank 1 to rank 20. For example, you can 4k with any killer in any map in low rank, skewing the data.

Also that these stats didn't keep ranking in mind iirc
So for example rank 20-14 survivors die 100% of the time rank rank 13-7 die 50% of the time and rank 6-1 die 0 % of the time the overal rating is also 50% but you wouldn't call that balanced now would you?

I recall when they published those statistics(I could be wrong), they mentioned that all of them were at red ranks. MAYBE they only mentioned it for one of the statistics, but I remember rank 1 being mentioned in that post because people make a fuss if anything but red ranks are mentioned and games with DCs are included(which they removed as well). Then everyone tried to deny those same statistics by moving goal posts yet again after the fact because they showed that killers were not in as bad a place as people complained they were.
That said, balance for every game that I know of is designed for all ranks in a game with a ranking system, not just the higher ones. If balance is bad at lower ranks, there's a problem just as if there's bad balance at higher ranks. Using the excuse that "lower ranked players muddle the statistics" is completely untrue, because across the board there should be balance. A 50% kill rate on a map would mean that:
- Killers that are really good will have better kill rates on those maps.
- Killers that are bad will still have a chance on those maps.
Saying that the kill rate should be higher would mean:
- Killers that are really bad will still do really well
- Killers that are really good will completely dominate and likely 4k most of the time.
50% means 2 die 2 live most of the time in every game. That's balanced, and anything higher means that it's not balanced. If you look at maps that have a near 70% kill rate, that means that both bad players and good players have really high kill rates on those maps. Good players likely 4k most of the time on those maps, for example, while bad players kill 3 people most of the time. The data is old however and was when Hawkins first came out, well around when Hawkins first came out, so Hawkins might be different now as it's not AS bad as we thought. Midwich I'll bet has probably closer to an 80% kill rate if not 90% at the moment though.
Overall this means that unless a map has a sub 50% win rate, it is NOT survivor favored in any way. It's just LESS killer favored.

That Lisa tunnelling business isn't really a thing. I've never been tunneled and played 50 some games with her. Some people may tunnel cause they think they cool. But It's not some long spreading problem.
Also. Last week I got a Haddonfield offering off the web. I burnt it for my next game,, and killer quit! Everybody got 5,000 escape points. After I still had the offering and burnt it twice more and killer quit those 2 times as well! I didn't use it again(I still have it) but it was so funny..but stupid at the same time.

Haddonfield is a map that usually have 2 gens that doesnt worth to patrol, the one in the house basement and another in the house on a corner those are lost causes. 😅
While ormind have some structures that are like so random How you mindgame those? 🤷🏻♂️

I've played this game for years and I still couldn't tell you what Haddonfield is. I HAVE seen the fact I get sent more often to the corn maps and Myer's map than I do anything else but it's only speculation.
