Fog Whisperers

I think that the Fog Whisperers pilot is a great idea (really I mean, it's overdue as so many developers essentially start programs like this out of the gate, not 2 years into release... and you can't tell me all the well known DbD players picking up Deathgarden for a couple weeks prior to and during early access wasn't orchestrated as well) but why do I feel like some pretty well known streamers weren't included in this?

I mean the main streamer that comes to mind for me of course is TrU3Ta1ent. I know that he's been critical of the development team at points and I know that there's some people out there who don't appreciate his content, but you can't deny that he is a very well known streamer for this game's content and has promoted this game, even with it's flaws, for the past 2 years. I'm not even sure if there is a bigger streamer on the English speaking side of Twitch for DbD than TrU3 (416,363 followers as of this post).

I can't say anything about some of the Fog Whisperers that appear to have low follower counts or that seem inactive on certain services that BHVR promoted (MKENNY for instance who has 29 subscribers on the YouTube channel that was promoted and hasn't uploaded content there in 2 months) as they represent a specific geographical location that has no other representation, but although I don't expect any insight into it, I was just wondering how BHVR went about deciding who would be enrolled in this program.

I even find (in my opinion) one streamer that was promoted and elevated to this position to not necessarily be an ideal ambassador for this program due to swearing / toxicity. The swearing I understand that we're playing an M rated game, but making YouTube videos promoting the idea of being a toxic survivor and making a killer DC isn't (once again... my opinion) the sort of gameplay and behaviour this program is trying to promote.

I guess TL;DR would be: Is there going to be a voting / polling option for future Fog Whisperers where the community will be given the ability to have input on who they feel should be ambassadors for this game? Of course vetted by BHVR afterwards, but getting the community involved in putting these players in these positions, I feel, would help to promote some smaller streamers that BHVR may not be aware of and give the community a stronger voice.

Also apologies if subjects like this have been posted ad nauseam previously. I don't check the forums as often as I would like to.

Or they might not have contacted
    Or he might have refused
Or he might not have read the thing
    Or ... life

Ask Tru3 if got any or wants any. They accept, so.

on topic: streamers themselves may apply. It's only just started, I'm sure they'll accept many ppl

People literally keep creating profiles just to come here and brag how their favorite streamers didn't get to be a part of fog whisperers. The spots are limited. The devs made their choice. It just started, it is the first event. They said it will be expanding. Calm down.

I didn't create this profile for this sole purpose. I had posted on these forums previously. I also don't watch TrU3 stream really as I primarily watch streamers who are friends (and all seem to have fewer than 100 followers). I just wondered what the process was regarding the largest DbD streamer not being appointed a Fog Whisperer and ask if there was any plans on community involvement for future Fog Whisperers.

@Rakshis They said they will. They are just testing it. Which makes since considering how heavily the rely on content creators, tournaments etc.

Take jendenise for example. She pretty much promotes toxicity and DCs quite regularly.

If they wanna promote this, fine, I dont give a damn anymore. Seems like this is what BHVR is aiming for, fine

I also find her to be a poor example as an ambassador for the game.

She's who I was hinting at for the toxic behaviour. I just didn't want to mention anyone by name.

They should've gone for small, but dedicated (and non-toxic) streamers. Plenty of them on the Media Lounge (not me, as I stream various games depending on my mood). Big streamers already get enough stuff.

I personally like Tru3 also and i don't really care who any of the Fog Whispers are. It most likely won't make me watch them since i only watch streamers every now and then and mostly Tru3 when new content is being tested or if i see he posted a DBD youtube video. That other streamer along with the one who got banned and is now on PS4 are part of the problem and shouldn't be promoted.

any one overly critical of the game or areas in the game more then likely wouldn't be chosen. if you look at Tru3 he is more a Variety streamer not a DBD only streamer. the ones who was chosen are mostly DBD only streamers.

You have to remember this is also a pilot program. There is nothing that says Tru3 won't get it later.

I like Tru3, but I was very disapproving of how salty he got not being in the pilot.

Hell, my favorite non-toxic DBD streamer didn't get in either, but you don't see Lefty throwing salt about it....
