springtrap would be a great addition why do people think he won't fit?
he seems like a reasonable choice why are people hating on him?

in my opinion, i think they can use him, but they most likely want to get as much of the popular movies, and AAA game lisences before using indie games. I think they will, but not in the near future.

I think people assume that because he dosnt do much attacking in the fnaf games, that it's hard to actually identify how he would work and what he would do.
But i think having springtrap or my choice 'marionette' as her music box can be used as an ability, as the killer would be a great addition especially if perhaps jumpscares came into play with him as it'd be very unique and put survivors on edge.

Because I, personally, don't feel like dbd and FNAF would fit. One comes from psychological horror and jumpscares, one is based off of slashers. Sure, stranger things (which I also didn't think would fit but somehow does slightly) but I (yes, me, myself, my opinion) don't think it would work.
Of course I could be completely wrong.
Also it'd have to be a paragraph, since we know the looks of absolutely 0 night guards. Or based off of the books, which Scott confirmed to not be 100% linked to the main plot of the games (though still canon).

There's at least 2-3 other threads about fnaf just today, go read them.

I think because people associate fnaf with kids and aren't big on the fan base coming over to dbd. Also there's other bigger licenses people would choose before fnaf that they would rather dbd focus on getting.

Out of all of the charecters in fnaf, I feel that springtrap would be the best fit for dbd.
Most people probably don't want him to be added as most people would prefer to stay aeay from the fnaf community. The people that are still a part of that community are generally regarded as very cringy.

personally i dont think that he would fit because
- how would he attack?
- what would his power be?
- there wouldnt be a survivor
- i persanolly and this is my opinion dont like fnaf

I refuse to accept FNAF into the same pedigree as the classic Horror franchises. It's not even close to those levels, and doesn't really deserve the hype and fandom it has. It's the Fortnite of horror, which is not a good thing. 99% of the fanbase consists of tweens and Let's Players who overhyped it for more publicity.
Freddy, Myers, Bubba, Ghostface, and Pyramid Head are far above any FNAF character you can name and it's dishonoring to put them in the same game together. Maybe DBD 2 when a completely new game is made and they can pick all the other crappy modern horror characters up.

In fnaf 3 springtrap is the only killer, but he has phantoms as his disposal to help him and ventilation errors first became a thing in fnaf 3 so already you have two concepts that can be used for perks or abilities.
For a survivor you could use Scott Cawthon the creator of the franchise, you could include Markiplier as one of the survivors as everyone knows him and would probably enjoy playing as him and exploring his character as who doesn't live Markiplier cmon
My point is there's many ideas that can be thought, improvised and included, ideas can't just immediately come to mind and so if the devs took time to think it out I'm sure they'd come up with something amazing.

Because most of the licensed killers/survivors are actually from great franchises, PH silent hill, ghostface while it isn't the original on dbd it's from scream, Michael well from halloween, leatherface from texas chainsaw massacre (which supposedly was based on a real thing), demo is from stranger things it isn't from a horror series but still the most popular show netflix has had, freddy I mean c'mon who doesn't know where he is from.
Not to offend anyone but FnaF games you just stay in one room looking at a tablet, closing and opening doors and vents, putting on masks and certain mini games.
Personally I don't think it would fit dbd going from horror icons and demo, to a jump screen simulator.
