What's with all the fnaf chapter ideas popping up all of a sudden?
Like seriously, I swear I see 3 or 4 new ones every day starting a few weeks ago

It's summer vacation at this time. All the kids are at home playing games and doing things they shouldn't.
Likely, including but not limited to flooding the DBD forums with FNAF chirps and any other relevant game.
I guess the Minecraft Nether update wasn't all that cracked up to be.

Prompted people to be more vocal about fnaf in general.
That is all.

It's been 'summer break' for a long time now. Because of Corona. So, that's not the reason...

I have never heard a mature, bill-paying, responsible adult ever express interest in this franchise, in real life or online.
It might be a fun franchise, but FNAF is rated T, suggested for teenagers and DBD is rated M, suggested for mature audiences (in which teenagers typically are not fully mature, hence their own rating in between E, suggested for everybody and M). This obvious observation does disseminate appropriately when applied to the FNAF fanbase.
Many of the adult fans of the game are only adults in the last few years, which furthers FNAF from other mature franchises (not saying FNAF isn't fun and scary).
It is so important to remember that FNAF was made to appeal to younger audiences of scary stuff and by extension horror. It is also important to remember that younger audiences should not be brought into this mix, not simply because of the M rating, not solely because the hag eats live human kidneys, not just because of the excessive violence and blood, but because the game is notably compounded by Freddy Krueger, who is a ######### pedophile.
No, FNAF simply doesn't belong with DBD, for the sake of the children. There has to be a boundary somewhere, and I think some people agree with me on where that line could he drawn, and FNAF is an obvious choice, despite it's popularity with the kids these days.

And then you look at springtraps backstory."Also the thing with springtrap is hes way more serious then just a robotic bunny killing you. He used to be a guy who murdered multiple children and hid their bodies in the robotic animatronics. Then when the childrens spirits haunted him for revenge he hid in the springtrap suit and the springlocks locked stabbing into his body killing him. Then his spirit took over springtrap and killed more people until it was locked in the back room of fnaf 3s building and the security guard had to burn the place down to hopefully kill him once and for all. And he cheated death once again". Btw im 22 and have also played silent hill watched the halloween movies and nightmare on elm street. So i think ive dug deep enough into horror.

Stranger Things is Teen rating....

No, it's a TV show, which is a different ratings system altogether. Stranger things is rated TV-14, which is comprised of different qualifications.
Even if video games and media were on the same ratings system, simply watching the demogorgon beat up Steve at the junkyard is a vastly different experience than virtually fleshing out the role of demodoggo by actively hunting him down and chewing off his face to watch him die.

No I don't look at anything but these forum posts.
Like I said, we already have Freddy Krueger, and he doesn't only murder children.

Funny to see people use summer break as an excuse and say that FNaF Fans only consist of children... actually not that funny, it's rather sad.

Exactly!

We also have mr.puddles clown

Maybe since BHVR is running out of iconic (we should define iconic though) licenses and the last one was from another videogame they got their hopes up for the next one being another videogame license so they are lobbying for it.

And I never saw a "mature, bill-paying, responsible adult" express interest in my little pony... until I did.
This isn't a point in your favor. You're just saying you don't know the fanbase.
Let's see... markplier and dawko are adults that pay bills who like the franchise. And play the games and spin-offs and other "5 days" stuff.
Matpat build so much of game theory on fnaf it's insane...
And that's just 3 famous people... there are a lot of adult fnaf fans. You just don't know them.
No I don't look at anything but these forum posts.
And that, is the issue.
You don't wanna know, yet already has an opinion formed about something. And is apparently ready to die on that missinformed hill.

Firstly, those MLP men are animals and ruin everything.
Secondly, you quoted a bunch of content makers, like they don't actively capitalize on the younger audience as a market?
And thirdly, no I don't want to spend time on a FNAF wiki to learn nuanced and hyper trivial details about a character from a franchise that I'm not interested in.
I know enough to formulate the the FNAF is a fun thrill of an indie game, but it doesn't appeal to me. I can also guess some do express a similar concept or sentiment, given the variety of reviews it received on steam and here on the DBD forums.

Are you saying this as someone who is on summer vacation or otherwise lives with roommates?

Mm you really are just plain stuck in your mind aren't ya? I'm nearly 30 married and in my own place paying my own bills and I'm sure fulfill most of the random requirements you could decide you need to arbitrarily throw out there and I've always liked FNAF. Most of my similarly aged friends like it too. There's a reason it's such a successful franchise, it's because people actually like it quite a bit.

I never said it wasn't successful, and projecting your self validation leads on as ubiquitous of the fanbase, and that doesn't change what the fanbase is mostly comprised of. Plenty of adults like kitchy things, and FNAF is no exception to that endless list of mundane kid stuff that adults find profundity in. You're literally playing into franchises that are literally designed for younger audiences, as per the developers of your favorite franchises. Hasbro made it clear the MLP toy's franchise is designed for children, acknowledging it's odd brony man cult following and Scott's FNAF franchise was literally born from the ashes of Chipper, a failed but principally designed to be a kid friendly game.
No, dude. That doesn't stand up. Ultimately, the successful kitchy franchise doesn't have a place here at dbd, unlike other franchises that have demonstrated similar themes and tropes. I'd rather see Bender as a killer, and Id argue that with more passion than the most passionate brony that plays dbd.

Ha! I knew your response would be just staying a stick in the mud ignoring everything everyone's trying to tell you as usual.
