Puppers Streamer has a very nice idea to rework keys and moris
in his last youtube video he spoke a little bit about Mori's and Keys and how BHVR could rework them.
Purple Key = Just 2 can Escape.
Skeletton Key = 4 Can escape
he also said opening a Hatch should have a animation like the killer does when closing the hatch. What makes actually sense.
and about moris he said, the killer can mori after he hooked everyone atleast once.

I disagree heavily with the key part. The mori part pretty much everyone has said but the key one I couldn't disagree with higher.

Not the worst idea however realistically it leaves keys very barely nerfed at all because usually two people escape during a key usage about 80 percent of the time

They could also shorten the timer the hatch stays open equal to the key charge.

The thing is, the purple Key can allow even 3 Survivors to escape. Three left, two escape with the Key, last Survivor escapes because the Hatch is open.
I would like to remove the Hatch-Part completely and make it an Add On or give it to the Skeleton Key for 1 Escape or when the Killer closed the Hatch. Something like that.

It says a lot that a survivor main doesn't like the new key idea lol I just think it still gives survivors cheap escapes. I don't want to be playing well, only having 2 gens left then just seeing both survivors escape.
What I meant about the moris was that a lot of people have said this. It's not Pupprs idea. I think hooking everyone once seems fair.

you cant make everyone happy. no matter which idea there will be always someone complaining about something.
so either you accept these 2 borken things how they are or you dont complain about something and see how it works. simple as that.

Mories won't be removed because they're a major highlight to every new dlc.
Keys and mories are remnants of the way the game "used" to be balanced. They're both outdated and their functionality are ill-suited to today's gameplay loop and scoring.
I'm assuming that they'll both be reworked after the MMR system is turned on and watched for a few months.
We'll probably also see a lot of balance changes if that MMR system works well since the matches against equally skilled players will highlight the imbalances in the game.

Gotcha. My thought was purple key only allows the holder to escape, pink allows all to escape, hatch no longer appears until 1 survivor is left or all gens are completed. The key itself is whatever, its when the hatch appears that i think is really a problem. Either that OR keys can no longer be obtained through the blood web and stats are changed so finding one in a chest is like 1 in a million (literally). So its like actually like winning the lottery.
Id remove mori's from the bloodweb and have it so all killers can mori 2 survivors that are on death hook.

I've never been a huge fan of making moris usable "once you hook everyone". It is a step in the right direction, but I don't think it goes far enough. I would rather they just nerf them hard, drop the rarities, and then add a small additional bonus as compensation.
The key idea does not actually fix the problem. I don't think the problem can be fixed unless they were nerfed at minimum to limit key escapes to only one person per key

Keys are a big problem as moris. Nerfing keys barely, bit nerfing moris hard is not that cool.

Either accept or shut up is that what your saying? There's definitely no way you've taken this approach to every suggestion in the game. His key suggestion doesn't fix the core problem with keys.
I personally think keys should only help with showing auras. Maybe change one of the add-ons to reveal the hatch aura when it spawns. I just think it's something that can be unavoidable for killer, even if they play well. For me I feel forced to slug heavily after 2 gens are done to be safe. I know some who will just tunnel the key user.
I wouldn't remove moris from bloodweb. Just make it impossible for a killer to just tunnel 1 survivor off the hook for an easy early game mori.

And I'd be 100% okay with that. I only really use mori's as a time saver for the death hook of a survivor anyway. The only time I use mori's for anything else is if it's someone I know (literally a friend, cause they'll find it funny), or someone with a key.

I'm inclined to agree for the most part. Most DBD streamers (moreso the survivor ones) are just carbon copies of each other.
"Run in circle, get hooked, teabag, get tunneled, hit DS, act like they outplayed the killer, say they are bored when they face a killer they can't bully".
There's only a couple who actually stand out, tbh. ANGRYPUG and EdgarAlanBro. At least they stand out. Everyone else is "bleh" on the survivor side.

Imo both keys should only open for 1 survivor and immediately close, and the purple key should only be able to open a hatch that had already been opened (by key OR by last survivor standing) and closed that game.

Eh, just remove one of the keys at that point. Keep the skeleton keys, make it so only one survivor can escape and the hatch closes immediately, and just get rid of the dull key.

no thats not what im saying. im saying if we dont try something we'll never know how that will change the game. we cant just wait for the "Perfect Idea" and keeping this broken things in the game. BHVR needs to try till they find the right solution for it. its like the Self-Care nerf, how many times did it get nerfed? 3-4 times? they nerfed till they found a balanced change. and that is how they should act for these two things.
how do you want to wait till someone comes with the best idea? another 2 years? either they nerf something step by step till they find the right balance or we wait even more years.

I don't think they should take it that slow though. So if there are 3 gens left then what? If the survivor has a purple key then 2 can escape, abandoning the last survivor. This key change will still force killers to slug heavily or tunnel the key user.
Personally if all keys were lost on death (meaning no one can pick it up) then that would help a lot more. Also the survivor holding the key can't drop it during the trial.
I think with keys and moris they need to be nerfed together and both heavily. If they need to buff them slightly later on that's fine.

Or they can actually nerf keys and make it so purple only allows the person that has it to escape then the hatch closes and skeleton key allows maximum 2 then the hatch closes again and end game starts. Also hatch doesn't spawn until all 5 gens are done or until its just 1 survivor left, the least they can do is finish the gens then they can escape however they want. The animation part won't do anything as it locks u in place just like if u hit someone then they still jump in the hatch. For moris its obvious, on death hook and when u hooked everyone at least once, thats it, keys should not be a free escape without even doing your objective just like how moris shouldn't be free kills without doing your killer objective. As simple as that.

Im agree with mori part but key part its basically no debuff.
I would make key rarity increase charges but only one can escape with it and the hatch shut and ECG start.

The issue with this suggestion is there's an achievement where you gotta have all 4 survivors escape from a hatch you opened, so one of the keys has to be able to let at least 3 out.

Though the inclusion of pyramid head and his mechanics show that the devs have been playing around with new ways for mori's to work. We could potentially see more killers in the future have built in "quick" mori's and this would open up the ability to change how mori's could work in the more current style of DBD. im not holding my breath but if all killers were to have a quick mori added to their kit as an option we could really change how mori's work on a very base level since we could change how scoring and everything works for these new style of mori's.

Death hook moris are extremely lazy a solution and will cost the killer pips and points for 7k bp..not exactly fair when the survivor gains in the same scenario dont you think ..?

This is very true. In a video about PH I do talk about this and how I hope that this mechanic is used to improve the game in the future.
They did this with Steve's perk that slowly heals you over time, the same mechanic that was later used for one of the syringes ;)

Well that is impossible as moris are integral in the marketing of a killer and theres achievements for the key , and honestly I had an idea or two way better than this general tossing of potential

The Mori should be death hook or endgame only. Keys need to be limited to one person per Key. Or just remove them entirely.
