How about a purchaseable Bloodpoints and/or Experience 'booster' for Shards or Cells?
In a similar fashion to what's done in many other online games and MMOs, I wonder whether BHVR are thinking about putting in some "boosters" for bloodpoints or experience gains.
One particular example I have in mind is Warframe. In Warframe, you can spend Platinum to purchase Resource Gain Boosters, Resource Drop Chance Boosters, Affinity (experience) Boosters, and Credit Boosters. Although these boosters are not absolutely required to progress in the game, they help to expedite the grind and acquisition of resources, items, leveling, and currency.
I imagine that BHVR could add in some kind of booster as well that functions akin to how they do Double Bloodpoint Events.
Adding a booster or multiple boosters of different 'tiers', that double, triple, or quadruple bloodpoint gains for x amount of playtime or x amount of games played could be a good thing.
These boosters should be purchasable with either Shards or Cells, not locked to Cells only. As BHVR are doing already in the game, most cosmetics and all Killers and Survivors (bar licensed) can be obtained in the game for playing it, leveling up, and gaining Shards to spend on them.
Making them purchasable with Iridescent Shards would allow players who grind many Shards to reward themselves by spending a couple so that they can speed up their bloodpoint gains.
Additionally, perhaps an Experience booster could be implemented. This should be the only booster that is Cells only, as increasing experience gains would allow players to gain Iridescent Shards by leveling up much faster.
I know this might get a negative reaction, but I still wanted to put it out there as an idea.
By all means, leave some feedback and other ideas. I'd love to see some other concepts that the community may have thought up for the game.

Well... if they did it with Shards I’m alright but never Auric Cells. That too close to pay to win by getting good perks and add ons quickly with minimal effort to grind out the BP.0

(Speaking my own thoughts here, not official.)
I do not like when games do that. I don't like when developers make their games excessively grindy and then charge you extra to make it reasonable. Progression in DBD already takes a pretty long time (not that bad if you just want to get all perks on one survivor or something, killers take a little more effort since they're not interchangeable). In a free to play game, I can understand why. You can spend a little bit and level up faster, or you can play totally free and grind more. But DBD is already a paid game with DLC.
I feel like offering people a booster for real money (at all, even if it's only an option and still purchasable with shards) would come across more as a "Yeah, it's grindy, deal with it or pay up." Whenever it's been a while since the last double BP event, it'll just be speculated that it's meant to drive up the sales of boosters. Or going forward as more and more chapters are released and the perk pool becomes bigger and bigger, those boosters will be conspired as the reason why the progression system hasn't been made easier to get what you want.
Without boosters, on the other hand, it'd just be grindy. You wouldn't have something you can point to and say, "It's grindy because the devs want you to buy these!" (Not to imply you would, but others might.)
Even offering them for shards would come across roughly the same, as you're then forcing people to use their shards to progress faster rather than unlocking new content, perks, or cosmetics. Not to mention that you'd essentially be limited by how fast you can earn shards, whereas someone with a bunch of disposable income can buy those babies like they're going out of style (and occasionally get a free one with shards, too).
So TL;DR, while I do think it's a neat idea, I think bringing money into it at all makes it real sketchy real fast. I'd be okay with it if it was shards only, so you could either choose to blow them on teachables from the shrine or blow it on an BP boost to grind towards the exact perks you want (even if they're not in the shrine that week).

@Judgement
I wouldn’t mind this idea, however I think it should cost a lot of auric cells. This will discourage people from using it as pay to win for people who will buy a lot. Also it would be nice to have boost to get extra shards.
SN: If you wouldn’t mind spacing your paragraphs because it will make it easier to read.0 -
For the love of god no P2W. The grind is rough but having blood point packs would be insulting2

This would be the end of DbD. I would stop playing, because that's simply pay 2 win.2

3 Hour 2x BP Booster: 5,000 Shards
6 Hour 2x BP Booster: 9,000 Shards
12 Hour 2x BP Booster: 12,000 Shards
24 Hour 2x BP Booster: 15,000 Shards
If you buy a 2x BP Booster on a 2x BP event, you'll get a 3x BP Booster until your timer ran out or the event ends!0 -
I think they should really just increase the amount of BP per match. Honestly the bloodhunts should be the norm and there should be a 1.5x - 2x multiplier on it for special events and the like.
It doesn't take long to grind out the perks you want in order to have them on the Killer / Survivor you want, but all the ancillary stuff (getting all the perks, prestiging all your characters) which are really just additional milestones that we OCD players do to set achievements for ourselves, even if there's no active achievement in-game, just feels like a grind.
I would honestly be surprised if you could P3-50 every Killer / Survivor without less than 1,500 hours in this game. Which when you think about it is a crazy investment of time.
It would also help with letting your P3-50 characters just level through 50 bloodwebs a bit faster for more items / offerings. If you have a great game as a survivor currently, without running something like WGLF it takes about 2-3 full games to finish a level 50 bloodweb...

I would not at all support this game in anyway if they start doing pay to win BS0
-
one of the main goals of DbD is to not support pay2win. if you could buy yourself a 2x BP event for auric cells, this would come very close to pay2win, so i doubt this will ever happen.

As as much as tempted i can be... i'd say no, this is a slippery slope and it can easly turn into a Buy to Pay to Win game, sorry but no thanks

Only "shop" i wont for bloodpoints is the possibility to re-sell/burn your addons in exchange of BP, i'll be ok with that
