question for European players
Hello guys lately I noticed I'm havin a bit higher ping than usual, specially this morning, I've been dodging many killer lobbies because I nticed I was getting matched against people from America by loooking at their profiles, I even asked a ttv streamer and she confrmed me she's in North America.
I don't know if this is a personal issue or a server bug, that's why I'm asking, and I don't knoow how to fix it.
No, I'm not using VPN and I don't want to download any because I'm scared of exploting it.
So yeah, are you guys havng the same issue?
PC btw

I haven't...or atleast I don't believe I have.

I haven’t had it recently but I do get this sometimes - being connected to a different (further away) server, probably because of long wait times. Usually I just stop playing for a bit and when I come back later it’s sorted itself out.

I play on PS4 and sometimes I get pings that are over 300, even when playing alone. Like, I get two matches in a row with a good ping, below 100, then suddenly there is a match that the ping spikes and I only notice it when I'm already in the match. It's really annoying, especially when the ping decides to became even worse, like 500 and you are stuck playing the match teleporting everywhere or freezing in place or you quit and get a penalty.

Yes, it happens occasionally. If there is a lack of killers in the US, you can end up on one of the US servers when you should have gotten connected to Frankfurt or London instead.
It has been like this for a while, also happens on other platforms.

I usually play in the evening, but when I used to play in the morning, I was matched with people from US or Canada (atleast according to their profiles) too.
Maybe there aren't enough people playing in the EU-Region in the morning and therefore the system matches us with people from different regions.
Or maybe they all lied in their steamprofile.

Never happened to me. Whenever I am connected to a Server outside of Europe, the other players are from Europe as well. So if I decide to play a 130 Ping Server, the Survivors also have around that Ping and are actually from Europe (I ask, sometimes).
For that I would believe the number of Servers is limited so when there is no server available, the game puts the players elsewhere. But that only I was on a Server outside Europe and the others were on the "correct" Server, nope, this did not happen yet.
