What is with the sudden Springtrap speculations?
(Notice: I have stopped paying attention/caring about FNAF after FNAF 5, but I still check in once in a while to see how it's doing, so If i get some things wrong, i'm sorry)
First, in my opinion, yes I do think Springtrap CAN come into DBD, but not in the near future. I think the devs are trying to get as much of the "classic" horror icons first before debating on recent indie horror game/creepypasta icons. That can take at least a few more years.
Second, I see nothing leading any clues about Springtrap going into the game (to be fair, some people argue that Springtrap can NEVER come into DBD because there is no survivor that they can use, even though I can think of 2 possible canidates, the girl that...is supposed to be Chica before dying in FNAF 6? (remember, I stopped paying attention at this point) She is young, but is technically the only human that has a canon look to them. The second being the protagonist from the FNAF novels, who is the right age, and i'm pretty sure that, while there are not official depictions, does have descriptions on what she looks like. I thing the DBD team is willing to take some liberties on that front)
Thirdly, didn't MCLean say in a stream about this that he had NO idea who Springtrap even is? (i'm admittedly too lazy to bother finding it, so one of you can post a clip of it, if it exist)

I feel as if Springtrap did make it into the game he would more than likely be a paragraph like Ghostface, Ash, and Leatherface. I’m not sure how they would make one of the pizzeria maps work considering they’re so small but I could see how they would work around it.
Also as a side note I used to be a huge FNAF buff but I haven’t been super invested in a while either but since the new game Security Breach is coming out, it reveals a night guard character and it takes place in a mall it seems. That would be a super possible idea they could take off and run with especially since it’s a big map just like the other indoor ones, and they’ll have a survivor type character they can use. But as of right now I feel like Springtrap would just be a paragraph instead of a full chapter.

Springtrap became a lot more likely when Pyramid Head came out, because that means that video game characters are now fair game, not just movies.
Edit: And I know Bill has been around for a while, but that was different. He was originally released as a Steam-exclusive paragraph.

Not speculations, but suggestions. The fringe slice of the community is clamoring for it.

It would be the cringiest thing to bring in a character from FNAF, people will ask for a Fornite killer next.

Plus FNAF isn't horror. It's a game for five year olds. Combine that with a mainly adult player base and you get a severe decrease in popularity.

I am not judging this by "cringe" levels, i'm judging it at face value.
(I mean, it's about as cringy as Leatherface being turned from a horrifying man that strikes fear in anyone he comes across, to a joke that can't do anything. Even then, i'd much rather have a "cringy" character than a horror icon's legacy being ruined by people who don't know what fear is. How dare put a character with a "childish" fanbase into a game whose majority of the fanbase whines nonstop if they don't get what they want, and calls the game unfair if they don't win a single match, also rampant harassment.)
(from your guy's comments, it seems that BHVR does not care about money and wants to keep people playing forever...despite completely neglecting huge problems for years on end)
(also child murder/torture and pedophilia, great family entertainment!)

This is a statement that shows a comprehension level worse than that of a 5 year old. To state that FNAF isn't a horror game is just to pretty much put a sign on your forehead that says "I'm full of close minded bias". The statement that FNAF is only for 5 year old is also beaming with stupidity. Anybody capable of critical thinking for more than 2 seconds instead of just blurting out nonsense in complete close minded arrogance can tell you how a 5 year old would react to that game, and it definitely wouldn't be favorable. And there's a significant number of indicators that DbD doesn't have a mainly adult playerbase. You being one of them.

Its honestly very far fetched and very stupid speculation imo, it makes more sense for bill to get his other half, a L4D killer. That makes more logical sense seeing how we just got our first video game killer they might wanna roll out another one! They already got bill so all we need now is one of the many special infected to join the ranks of killers in dbd..now who that would be..is up to speculation personally I would love the tank though not sure how to could implement such a behemoth into the game..

If we're trying for video game killers, I'd like to see something from The Evil Within.

I've seen some people talk about the Robbie the Rabbit Legion outfits as reason to ask for a FnaF Killer. Because they don't look it up and think its just some "killer bunny mascot" outfit (it is, but Robbie is more than that) or some weird FnaF reference, even though this is obviously a stretch.

I'm thinking the Hunter from L4D2 😏 I think it would be pretty cool! And scary....

Yea I think out of all the left for dead cast of special infected him and witch have a decent chance to be implemented into the game

I'm sort of for him being added, but I don't really get why people think that this will become Fortnite hell if Springtrap is added. The character itself could work in my opinion and would add a lot more killer variety into the roster. I think @Dehitay brought up a really good point of people mindlessly being close minded and absolutely hating on the idea without giving specific reasons why.
I'm all for if you want him or don't want him in, just be a mature person and be mindful of others and give actual reasons why, additionally, let's not spam the forums with this.
For my actual reasoning of why I would even be fine if some of the fanbase come to here, is because I don't think it's all bad. The newer games coming out are being made in collaboration with game studios and are actually quite frightening, and their new game so far seems very promising. Although some of the fanbase has early tweens, I know a larger amount that are late teenagers and even young adults. With some leaks, it even appears one of the new killer introduced in the FNaF game has a kitchen knife (I don't believe it is an animatronic, rather a sadistic killer in a mascot suit), and I really doubt that it won't have mature themes or blood.
Should he be added now? Probably not, or even maybe. Should he be added in the future (preferably after the new game comes out)? Sure. I think FNaF is currently in the process of rebranding itself to an older teen audience/adult audience and I think we should give it time.

Yeah this is pretty much my take on the situation as well.
Just to add a bit to your last point, I also agree that now would probably not be the most optimal time to release such a chapter. I think the best time would be sometime between November 2020 (to coincide with the release of Security Breach also coming at the year's end) - August 2021 (or whenever the FNaF movie is about to come out).

I also don't see how anyone above that age can be scared by it. It isn't horror. Its supposed to be scary but its not. And ive never seen anyone below 10 play either. I have met kids on there, however mostly it's people 20 plus. And also, if you are talking about the way people act on the forums, I can pretty much guarantee they are just acting like a child. After all, why would someone's mom let them play a "scary" game?

Yea dbd does have a childish fan base, but its not made of children. Any adult would find a fnaf chapter boring and if everyone starts playing him, probably stop playing. Its meant to be horror, not jumpscares. Having a jumpscare killer will defeat the purpose of dbd. Dbd killers are all slashers because that fits the game design. Add any jumpscare killer, and it just goes against the story.

I did not say children, I didn't even refer to it, I said "cringy" to both be purposely ambiguous, and to "relate" to the comments I was replying to (that's why it is in quotations).
I am not saying that I am encouraging this chapter (I don't care if it is licensed or not licensed, and if it is licensed, I don't care who comes in, as long as their gameplay is fun, i'm fine with it).
If they WERE to add Springtrap, I doubt their only power is to only jumpscare and that's it.
Also jumpscares exist in this game, a LOT, both scripted, and unscripted. Ever gotten scared by a sudden Shape or Ghostface coming out of nowhere. Hag (and some extent Doctor) literally have built in jumpscares in their powers. They even added a scripted jumpscare in the new map. (also, what do you mean by "goes against a story"? I know the game has lore, but apparently I didn't know that this game is very plot heavy with twist and turns in every corner)

Yeah, everybody knows that slasher films never use jump scares. Honestly, people that use that anti-jump scare bs while simultaneously saying slasher films are all that deserves to be in DbD are people that refuse to think.
4 -
Actually ive never found this game scary. Ive only been jumpscared once by a Myers using a build specifically made for that. This game already isnt scary, but add a childish killer and it becomes lame. This is my opinion of course, but one that I think many people share.

respectable.

play him in DBD and compare him to the other killers. They ruined our boy.

People keep arguing against me vehemently that it's not a children's game. It features no violence, no blood, no gore, no actual kills, but a 12-year old youtube video meme scream scare "death". It's literally the Dora the Explorer of the "horror" world. Actual "studies" have shown fnaf's player base is average 12-17, likely on the lower end. It is definitely a children's game.

a childrens game that deals with child murder/pedophilia, has multiple on death screens that show a suit with a freshly stuffed corpse? one of the latest games deals with a tormented soul that burns itself just to torture and kill its killer over and over again for all of eternity? pretty kiddy, better call sesame street over to check it out.

sick of this!!! fnaf not for 5 year the lore about kids being killed wow sounds like kids game🙄
also dbd not mainly adult playerbase your kidding your self with that think alot brats play dbd sometime how people act.
