I Absolutely Think That Rank System Don't Match The Player Skill Play Anymore..
I quit DBD for like more than a year. I returned back to DBD recently and "grind" my survivor rank back to rank 1. Here is the things i would like to mention about... I found out 8/10 games of Rank 1-4 killers are always tunneling and camping for the first survivor they hooked. Is that the new "META" for recent patch or it just ****ing ######### killers nowadays. And most of the rank 1 killers are slightly "JOKE", no skills, don't know how to trick survivors, like a fool moving around, then the next plan for them is to "camp" or tunneling" hooked survivors. And they still feel proud of it at the end of the game with "EASY CAMP, NOOB". It really make me tilted with this type of idiots. I don't know what to say, i guess this game is no longer an option for me to play for fun anymore. No entertainment at all, only camping from first hook until I sacrificed. ######### YEAH

Sorry I'm just trying to express my feeling and complaint about those game spoilers, hope someone agree on this point with me.

Rank no longer means skill. Period. Someone can be a Rank 1 yet still play like they are new, and a Rank 10 can play like an absolute beast. That's just how it is

They literally said that in a devstream. It's not big news, it's been established for a while now.

I wish survivor was harder to rank. Red rank seems to get none of the benefit only the bad stuff.
Your teammate still cant loop but you end up against red rank killers.

It never did. The devs have never matched people based on how good they are in chases and how efficiently they complete gens (which is what should happen).

Unfortunately no one wants to admit that camping and tunneling has been made more and more necessary because of all the second chance perks survivors have now. Whether people agree or not, the game is incredibly survivor sided. If you look around on the forums the big three complaints are NoED, camping and tunneling. Yet, almost no one who complains about this stuff wants to know why it's happening. Their answer to killers is "git gud" or "gg ez".
Camping and tunneling are almost required now because of many things wrong with balance. While I don't think "gen rushing" is real, the speed of completion is when you have killers that just can't do map pressure. You have SWF groups - not all - who are playing the game JUST to make the killers experience miserable. You have a lot of second chance perks that reward you for bad play. You get to ######### about NoED while refusing to cleanse totems and think that's okay. Lately a lot of survivors want to do less work for more reward, and that's not okay.
Before talking about killers, I want to mention I think camping is a waste of time. And calling something tunneling is useless since survivors call anything tunneling these days. Going for an injured survivor that you unhooked in front of the killer isn't tunneling, it's your own ######### up.
Killers get to manage time, gens, chases, totems, gens, hooking etc. They would get looped at god loops (which is being changed for the most part). They lose hex perks because totem placement is #########, and lit totems are the only ones survivors ever cleanse then ######### about NoED. They get called "tunneling/camping pieces of #########" because survivors unhook their friends in front of them and expect them to go for the healthy person. They have to counter multiple second chance perks which are countered by wait for it..... slugging. Then they have to chase you again because you had yet another second chance perk.
TL;DR - Survivors have so many second chance perks that they're only countered by slugging and tunneling. Camping is just bad for a killer unless the exits are open.

Slugging? yes. Tunneling, no, that's why the second chance perks are there in the first place.

That's what DS is there for, that's it. Also I should have clarified what I meant by tunneling as it has so many meanings now. I mean quickly reducing the number of players in the match, so going for an injured survivor that was unhooked rather than the healthy one. People call that tunneling now when technically it's not, it's their own bad rescue.
1 -
You can't safe rescue if killer is proxy camping. That's why there's borrowed and ds.
1 -
Well we have camping and proxy camping. Honestly where do we draw the line and say it's a bad rescue? A killer could leave, kick a gen plan on going for other survivors and then the hooked person is rescued nearby. Logically it's better to go for the unhooked survivor as it will help you more. But doing that you'll be accused of camping or proxy camping.
I guess the real problem is that these days everything is called slugging, tunneling and camping. There's no set definition for them anymore. Which makes everything seem like those things.

I had a Meghead as a teammate who kept cleansing as soon as she got infected from the plague.
She singlehandedly gave the plague her power infinitely.
Even the plague said at endgame chat not to cleanse and that she (the plague) gave the hatch to meg because she thought Meg was a baby player.....
Meg was rank 2

Not sure how developers gonna deal with their rank system... Feel like the rank is just a "decoration" or "achievement" for players without any means. I hope developers can look into this matter in the future. Even though it could be a big challenge for them.
