Devs Teased Bubba Add-On Rework

The only possible use I can think of is to slug someone who you suspect has DS active. Otherwise, what would be the benefit of this add-on? If the Survivors aren't close to having the gates powered, you probably wouldn't leave someone on the ground (assuming no one is near you, though if they are near you, this add-on doesn't activate). If they are, they're more likely to just power through the last of the gens, which means the aura hiding isn't going to mean as much.

Original stuff that doesn't get used is pointless.

Wait for the rest of the Add-Ons. One of the worst things of Bubba is that his Add Ons are copy&paste from Hillbilly. But even worse - except for Chargetime, they dont do anything. Cooldown? Whatever, you dont use the Chainsaw for Mobility and his animation is super-long anyway. Speed? What does it matter? Again, no Mobility and you use the Chainsaw when you are right behind them, nobody cares how fast he will be.

Being a unique Add-On at least indicates that his Add Ons will be more interesting in the future.

Yeah I remember them, I feel that they should make it so that the torn bookmark does not apply that annoying penalty.

What cooldown?

I feel like they don't need to literally just copy the killer's perks onto add-ons. They reworked Doctor, and sure he has add-ons that adjust his terror radius and skill checks, but in ways that work uniquely with his power rather than just being copies of Monitor and Abuse or Overcharge. It feels so lazy- addons should be a way to create new playstyles for existing Killers, they shouldn't be a crappy 5th perk slot.

I mean I am fine with lower add on power and actually a steong base power. I'd prefer all killers to be able to play add-on less while not overpowered with add-ons.

Actually you're wrong about the Nurse part. Bad Man Keepsake is Nurse's Calling but only lasts 60 seconds and Metal Spoon is Stridor

The addon has one little aspect were it works slightly better than KO. When the effect is applied, it won't show the slug even if someone gets closer than 16 meters. With KO, the slug will be shown then. But putting multiple restrictions on the addon really nullifies this small benefit over the perk.

Like someone else wrote already, besides the time limit and survs in your TR deactivating it, you actually do not KNOW if you applied it, which I think is the worst part of it. You could take IF with you, if noone screams, the aura of the slug is likely hidden (if someone chills in a locker in your TR, he won't scream and deny the effect without you knowing it ... you could equip Iron Maiden for this case :P). If someone screams, great, new victim. But the slug will be shown.

Alternatively, you could try to make yourself Undetectable before downing someone (Trail of Torment, Dark Devotion, a reworked Insidious), then you can be sure the slugs aura is hidden.

But even then, 20 seconds is just to short to use it for actually slugging. The only potential I see here is using the effect to hook the downed survivor without the other survivors knowing where the hook takes place. So they couldn't hide so well behind a gen to prevent being seen with BBQ. But thats a rather niche case, since lockers are more reliable, or you just don't care for the BBQ, since it's only bubba.

I do find the addon idea nice. But the restrictions are just to heavy. I would say, buff the time limit to like 45s or even a minute and remove the part with survivor in TR disabling it. If a surv is this near, he will know the area where to search for the slug anyway. Why give the other surv this information for free as well? Or, if this survivor-disables-it-in-TR really needs to stay, at least give the Bubba some inidicator that the effect was NOT applied!

Seriously. This add on looks terrible. I hope they're reading this.

Demogorgon also has an add-on, Lifeguard Whistle, that's basically Mindbreaker on his portals.

Honestly sounds like a good add-on that can open a few different playstyles. When this add-on becomes a problem is when EVERY add-on is similar to this.

Remember it's okay to not have all S tier add-ons.

Here is the missing part:

• This effect does not trigger if you are playing against SWF.

Knock Out is terrible because it has a high chance of doing nothing, that is if you play against SWF. Same thing in the case of Empathy, Bond, Blood Pact, Better Together or Aftercare and maybe other effects that I am missing.

Easy fix for both Knock Out and this add-on; add one of these effects to them:

• Crawling speed is reduced
• Crawling is disabled
• Self-recovery speed when downed is reduced
• Can't be healed / recover for X seconds after being downed

Adding a secondary effect to them solves that problem and makes them potentially worth using.

As they are right now both the add-on and Knock Out are not worth running. There are too many ways to make them completely useless and the effect is not strong enough to justify that. Instead of using a perk or add-on that has a high chance of doing nothing you should just run a perk or add-on that always does something useful.

Can we all collectively just calm down and wait until they actually proceed with the rework? In no way, shape or form does this look like a finished version. They're probably still testing stuff out, let's wait a bit and then it they go through with it we'll complain.
