The executioners cage

Honestly why doesnt the cage work like an actual cage. If survivors are sent to the cage they remain there for 45 seconds that can be reduced by skillchecks.they cant be saved. This would make the power a game stall mechanic instead of give survivors a free unhook mechanic.

    i can't recall being put in a cage for 45 seconds, doing skill checks, and then the cage just... dissolving i guess with real cages. i do feel like people can be saved from real cages though

    Anyway the current mechanic feels dumb and is dumb, after quite extensive amount of gameplay with the executioner. I have come to the conclusion that its only good for 2 things tunneling someone of the hook or executing them on the third hook. So its almost like why even bother with this mechanic at all?
