Why do people who main Leatherface and Trapper camp so much?
Just to get this clear, this isn't an "I hAtE cAmpErS sO much, ScRew YoU aLl!" Kind of post. I've just noticed that these killers camp the most and it's humorous.
I main killer and I've never had a match where I was forced to camp so I wanna know what kind of strategy campers think they're going by?
My favorite part is when they camp one survivor the whole game while the rest of the team pop ALL the generators in just minutes and then we rescue the hooked survivor and all make it out. It's almost exciting when they start camping you 2-3 generators in because YOU know the other survivors want revenge so they rescue you we get out like it's nothing.
No hate toward these killers, I just feel like they camp the most.🤷🏽♀️

Some LF like to do this because it is really easy to do with him and it has become kinda a meme.
I think more trappers may proxy here and there, but I honestly don't see a lot of them straight camp.
For me, I think I have seen a lot of GF and slingers camp.

Easy. Because survivors are stupid sometimes and instead of doing gens, they try to unhook or waste time until they realise, there is no chance to do it, especially against LF. The LF player that does this realizes that and even when he camps one guy, the game gets tremendiously easier when there are only 3 ppl left.

The closest I get to camping as Trapper is when I get a survivor hooked in the shack basement and have traps available. A trap at each door and at the window. Why wouldn't I want to use the killer's strengths to my advantage?

Never met Wraith?

Trapper usually defends an area, that's not the same as camping. I trap the basement and jungle gyms and will loiter nearby until the inevitable *snap*
After that, start the snowball. If there are 2 in the basement which does happen 97% of the time, why tf would you walk across the map and let them all get out??
I see a lot of Billy and Wraith camping however when i play survivor

I said all of that because my team was actually SMART about what was going on and I was just being camped by another camping LF. He just stood in my face for the whole trial hitting my body and I stayed still just smiling back because I knew he wasn't going to get this kill.

For Leatherface I think it's because current LF's chainsaw is so hard to hit people with in a chase camping is literally the only thing he's really good at. Also, the memes with insidious bubba hiding in the basement.

Yeah it's just a meme at this point, but I am a bit confused about the GF and Deathslinger thing you mentioned. I've played GF for a bit and after understanding that he can stalk from pretty far places without being noticed I now see why people think he's "camping" I used to apply pressure to gens while someone is hooked and every few seconds id look around the corner to see if anyone is coming to rescue. By the time they rescue the person, I had the saver stalked and they became a one-hit target just like the person who just got off the hook. So I mean I see why people say he "camps" but I think he's just using his Night Shroud in the best way he can by staying near.
I don't know what to really say about Deathslinger because I haven't played as him yet but I have played against him a crap ton and so far none has shown any sign of "camping*
Other people have different games so you might be experiencing some camping killers more than me.

LF is because you cannot unhook against him if he plays it smart. at least 1 person will go down if he can't react to a borrowed time. if he can react, 2 will go down.
Trappers don't camp. at least I haven't seen one who does. But the trapper is a very territorial killer, he usually sets all his traps minus 1 in an area of the map (containing 3 or 4 gens usually) and then they don't leave this area. why would they? that's probably what is going down and you are calling it camping, so let's make this clear... define what camping means to you.

Agreed, I forgot how hard it is for LF to hit people with that chainsaw so all they have left is to camp.

I stand by what I said when I said Trappers camp a lot. I'm not talking about Trappers who stay in the area, I'm ACTUALLY talking about TRAPPERS who just stand there watching you as you die. Like they don't stop watching you from five feet away, because I get them A LOT. I can totally deal with them literally staying close by setting traps and stuff it's not a big deal at all, it's what they do.
But yes, I get a lot of ACTUAL camping Trappers and quite a lot of LF's too.

hmm...that's odd. Trapper is a terrible killer to camp with...
are they low rank?
2 -
People who have their minds set on camping will probably choose LF to do it, since he’s naturally better at it than any other killer.
Trapper is just a defensive killer so you don’t want to roam all around the map necessarily. If they’re straight up camping though, they’re probably a newer player and Trapper is the first killer a lot of new players try so they probably invested a lot of time and BP into him.

Because that's where the strengths of their kit are.

Lol. Never forced to camp? You're either new or foolish. When the gates are 99d and someone is on the hook, you don't leave them unless you're looking to give them a free escape.

I've heard this alot and my answer...you have it backwards. Leatherface mains don't camp any extra. People who want to camp pick the best killer for camping.

What about a Legion?

Trappers defend one area of the map. Usually (if it's an experienced trapper of course), they'll try to carry you to a hook near their area where all their traps are set up. This is beneficial for him, as it increases the likelihood someone will get snapped.
1 -
Naw i ain't new or foolish, if I'm not forced to camp than it means I'm doing a hell of a good job and I haven't had to camp.

Nobody is that good as killer. You do lose SOMETIMES, right? If you haven't camped at the end when the exit gates are open, you're just giving them free escapes. Because why would you leave the hook? It's the only time camping is appropriate and not toxic. That's the kind of camping I'm talking about here.
2 -
Agreed. There's (typically) ZERO incentive to leave a hooked Survivor when the gates are 99/open.
Perfect.

Camping Legions do exist. And because of the incompetence of ransoms, they totally get away with it.

Chances are they are probably bored children and or jobless adults.Probably still living in their moms basement so camping leads to their entertainment.

This, trappers play style is based around defending an area. Sorry survivors, setting traps up so far away that you can reach the trapped survivor is just dumb.
But salty survivors will call ylu a camper because to them if you don’t literally run to the far end of the map you’re camping. Even if you see someone crouching behind a rock waiting to unhook you HAVE to leave or it’s camping.
i once hooked someone in basement, came up and grabbed someone out of the locker (explosion) and got called a camper

Was watching a streamer once who ran into the main building and stepped in the 1 trap the Trapper had placed so far. Trapper came, put him in basement and because the Trapper had the audacity to reset the trap the streamer stepped in...he started telling everyone that the killer is camping.

Some survivors are extra toxic towards low tier killers like bubba. (When i play bubba, toxic survivors increase, and i dunno why)
So i'll facecamp those toxic little ######### to teach them a lesson, don't be toxic towards bubba!

I'm still not going to camp though.
