I love the Billy nerf! And you?
I, as Leatherface-Main, am incredibly happy about the new update! Finally Hillbilly is also weakened, it was about time! Hillbilly was way too OP in my eyes and Leatherface was far too weak. Finally, both killers get the attention they deserve! What do you think about that?

Going off the video it seems like Billy's saw overheats a little too quickly but other than that I have no real issue with it. I'll wait till the PTB to watch people so I can see how the add-ons effect it and whether or not the overheat will be changed to be a bit more forgiving.
Until then I'm not going to make any extreme judgments. If they do nothing then Billy will have probably gotten the Nurse treatment. Still a top tier but nerfed with fun value taking the biggest hit.

I think Billy could get a little weaker. With the nurse it was (in my opinion) less necessary to publish a rework. At Hillbilly I think it's much more important, and Billy hope that a few nerfs will come for him!

tbh billy needed a NERF but that wasnt the nerf he needed, he only needed a HUGE NERF TO HIS ADDONS not to his base. crack billy was dumb to go against same with space billy.

Exactly this. Base kit fine, addons toned down. Such a simple and effective change.
The DEVs can't seem to view it from that sort of angle though.

I would wait calling it a nerf before we get full information and actually playtested it though
For all you know the cooldown on his chainsaw could be irrelevent for experienced Billy's and his new addons could be iri head level of busted
We've only seen one of his ultra rares, he could very well end up being buffed

Billy is very powerful, so something to keep him in check might be good. We will see, when the PTB starts.

Billy is a high mobility, insta-down killer that really doesnt have a big punishment for unwisely using his power. Like for real, Pyramid Head has a hella long recovery after using his ranged attack, that only damages 1 health state if I may add. Yeah, wait and test it, then start giving feedback. If somehow this change comes out as huge problem, the devs wont be able to properly colect the feedback, because there are people complaining just because they dont like the idea of something being changed, and not necessarily because that change itself is bad .

I really didn't have a problem with Hillbilly other than his add ons. This base kit nerf seems unnecessary imo. I'll hold off my final thoughts until the PTB comes though.

A killer that is fun, rewarding to play when you put time into him. Also the killer is fun to play against but hey lets dumb it down.
Also cooldowns are very fun and we have the need to erase as many mindgames as possible. They should simply remove all powers also do something against moonwalking, cant have those mindgames. All too hard for the boosted plebs.

Have a look at this, it explains simply what this nerf has done to his skill ceiling, made it only go for the worse rather than better.

Billy nerfs don't seem necessary imo. From my experience he's pretty easy to loop. I always thought of him as being one of the well balanced killers.

Remember when the devs listened to everyone about Nurse and her add ons? But instead of not doing anything they actually nerfed her add ons even more from PTB because they recovered too fast?

I think his chainsaw should not be a one hit down. It should take 2 hits with a cooldown. Any killer that camps should be banned from the game. The ruin nerf is a nice touch so you don't have to hit great skill checks but I would prefer it if you didn't have to hit good skill checks either so I could pleasure myself to shirtless Davids body. Also please let us open the doors when the gens aren't done that would be a ok start for balance

It'll make me more likely to play both killers. Billy bc I knew they were gonna change him at base so there was no point in bothering to learn him, bubba for obvious reasons.

Bubba's buffs are nice, Billy's nerfs are not reasonable in any way.

He has high mobility, an instant down and he has 115% m/s. A nerf was needed. Hopefully his snowballing potential is reduced.

Dude she needed an add on rework thats it why they nerfed her ability makes noill sense like she is the hardest killer in the whole game and with a max of 2 blinks that are easy to juke unless they are good or lucky which its hard to be good with her her cooldowns are annoying they aren't too bad but it was still unnecessary

Many people comparing this nerf to the nurse rework. Apparently people are forgetting how insanely op nurse was. Not just with addons but even just basic nurse was pretty goddamn strong. Did they go overboard with her? Yeah honestly I think they made her too difficult to play while at the same time the few people that can play her now. Well they still slaughter everyone.
But hey this is coming from a mediocre survivor and decent killer player. Sure rank 1 at both. But we all know that doesnt mean anything. I personally hated going against a Billy more than going against a nurse or spirit. Because vs a spirit or nurse you could make mistakes and still have a chance. If you make a mistake vs Billy. You are just dead.
Just my oppinion. But I think we should all wait a see. Streamers like Zubat that play a lot of Billy are basically saying that same.
