The Executioners VR add-ons
2 of them are "Okay," if a bit situational, but the other 2 are pretty much useless. I'm talking about:
Rust-Colored Egg: Survivors affected by Rites of Judgement suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 60 seconds.
and
Crimson Ceremony Book: Injured Survivors affected by Torment suffer from the Hemorrhage Status Effect.
Blindness, as it is currently, is a fairly useless Status effect. It's rendered completely useless by SWF, but even for solo players, It does very little to provide a killer any advantages. As for the Hemorrhage effect, if they were going to have it apply the effect at a Very Rare add-on Level, they could've at least made it so they suffer "Tremendously" from it when injured by increasing the bleeding frequency, and just regularly suffer from it while healthy, since that would make it a decent tracking tool, especially if it also increased how long the blood spots remained.
Either way, Can we get at least 1 of these replaced with "Considerably (1 second) reduces the cooldown of Punishment of the Damned."? Currently PotD takes 1 second to plant the knife, 0.6 seconds to fire it off, and 2.75 seconds to cooldown before you can start the process all over again, so in total that is 4.35 seconds to do 1 attack. If something is going to be "Very Rare" add-on worthy, it needs to justify its VR status by being something that either changes how the killer uses their power, or gives them a significant advantage when using their power. Dropping the cooldown on PotD exists nowhere else among the rest of the add-ons, and shedding 1 second from the 4.35 seconds total for using this attack (which is honestly very easy to avoid anyway), seems to be VR add-on worthy to me.
What do you guys think?

I'm in total agreement, all the very rare add-on's are for the most part useless. The two useful ones the Scarlet egg and the Lost Memories Book only get a good full use when paired together. Normally effect add-on's like this are much lower tier so it feels weird for them to be here. I can understand Crimson Ceremony book as its pretty much permanent hemorrhage but still it could be better. I also want to throw the Obsidian Goblet in this bunch too as the only use i can think of for it is camping, now if dragging a trail also counted as standing on it it would be a whole different story. The power is already really loud so if while dragging it you were undetectable that would be a benefit. An alternate idea for second ultra, make PotD apply torment or at least leave a trail from where it was.
I personally haven't used anything above rare add-on's for anything more than seeing if they are useful and if they make the power any more enjoyable.

Some killer’s sweet spot for add ons are green and yellow: Hag, Deathslinger.
I do wonder if some of these status effects are being underrated though. Like a small terror radius, it’s hard to really know how much of an impact it has.

Yeah i can see Blindness on trail being used as a counter to OoO

Blindness only purpose is to block things like Object of Obsession or blood amber key addon. It can be used for survivor auras as well like bond and empathy but if you're in a chase you'll most likely not want to run them to a team mate. As has already been pointed out, it's pretty useless. It would be nice if the status effect shrinks the survivor FOV then it might be something worth talking about.
I wanted to get caught up on all the aura reading perks after looking at the topic and this girl does a really good job discussing Blindness in the game.
Now if Blindness actually affected killer interaction items like: plague wells, demo's portals & pigs trap boxes it would actually be really viable on those killers and give you a reason to run 3rd seal.

What if one of these 2 terrible add-on's was changed so that PotD applies Torment upon putting a survivor into the dying state with it? I mean I get why they don't have it apply torment for every PotD hit, but If you had to use a VR addon, and it only applied torment to survivors upon downing them with it, I think that would be fair.

Yeah Hemorrhage is another completely useless status effect. Only 1 perk really benefits from it and very little at that because you can't see blood on most of the tiles. They should change hemorrhage to make the survivors periodically squeal in agony so it could be a solid counter to iron will.

I agree. Punishment is pretty... punishing, if it misses. I started only using it when I can guarantee a hit, or for mindgames. It's way too easy to miss if the survivors aren't locked into position by a hallway or some interaction. On the other hand, it does go through obstacles and hits multiple people. So far, my best has been downing 3 survivors at one time. So, it can be powerful, but the cooldown really sucks.
Regarding the blindness, I agree too. It's not very beneficial when only one survivor is affected by it. I tried using third seal to see if it hid people in cages, but most of the time it's cleansed before I use a cage.
And for the addons... I agree, too! All useless for the most part :P

I actually think blind is underrated. But i play solo so it really affects my games. 3rd seal is incredibly strong to be fair.
Of course i havent played as PH enough to really have a full grasp of his addons. But 60 seconds isnt a very long time, especially since unless you actually use the cages, theres no way to reapply the torment correct? Or am i completely wrong on how the effect actually works?

PH can re-apply torment if they step on a trail of torment again after getting uncaged, otherwise that's not happening. Since avoiding trails is so easy for survivors, most PH players opt to save using cages or Final Judgment for a more strategic time if someone is tormented. In Red ranks it's especially difficult to get a survivor tormented just once; trying to do that 2+ times? Forget it.
