Soul Guard vs Borrowed Time
Borrowed Time grants you the endurance status effect for 15 seconds when you're unhooked in the killer's terror radius (depending if the rescuer has the perk equipped). You have 10/15/20 seconds to mend if you get hit while endurance is active.
Soul Guard also grants you the endurance status effect for 4/6/8 seconds after being healed or having recovered from the dying state (this makes great synergy with Unbreakable). You have 20 seconds to mend if you're hit while endurance is active. Side note: you can fully recover if a hex perk is active.
Keeping the discussion civil, which perk do you think is better? I know the word better is subjective but that's why I'm creating this thread.

Lol, soul guard(bc it's too situational) is trash compared to Bt
Bt by a LONG shot

Others may disagree.

BT has its uses and so does Soul Guard. But I'll choose Soul Guard because it's extremly funny when it works. Plus it counters NOED sluggers, so running it is a win-win

yea, its subjective after all

Bt is better, but people shouldnt dismiss soul guard as ive seen coordinated groups using it effectively to an annoying degree

BT.
It works well if the killer is camping or just nearby and one of the only ways to safely save someone during end game.
SG's endurance effect is too situational and killers usually slug mid-late game which by then the average hex is destroyed so no unbreakable, it's kind of good against NOED but even then you have to hope they slug.

I would say BT. Much more consistent benefits. However Soul Guard could definitely come in clutch.

BT is better.

Does the insta heal from ‘For the People’ activate Soul Guard? If so it would be a somewhat decent perk in an SWF, especially if the person with Soul Guard can take the hit for their Saviour.

As a Cheryl main that always equips soul guard, BT is a hundred times better because its not situational.

BT is better, but both can be clutch in the right situations ( with Soul Guard being much more situational however ).

BT by a long shot.

That's a tough one.
I'd say BT but only by a little: both are situational, but BT is less situational. I think BT has a really strong effect that could be very non-situational, but the fact that there's several killers that can just negate the perk by shutting off their terror radius makes it feel relatively useless in certain games.
Similarly, Soul Guard has powerful effect but it's tied to the condition of getting up from dying, and has the extra effect of being like an "infinite Unbreakable" allowing you to pick yourself up as many times as you want as long as there's a hex totem. It's not uncommon to go against a hex, but that's also another condition (and a pretty powerful one at that) that can be taken away if just 1 thing doesn't go to planned, and they don't bring a hex.
Overall I'd have to say BT is better simply because of the longer endurance and the fact that it can be used in such an aggressive style, but they're both still pretty conditional.

Honestly find soulguard to be more of a problem as killer. Maybe it's because I almost always have one hex perk but it seems like people get pretty good use out of it. Infinite unbreakable can definitely be strong and the endurance effect has saved from a lot of hits. BT is definitely more reliable but less of a gamechanger than soulguard.
SWF can also pull off some really cheeky stuff with it

Can you run them both, or is that dumb? Can you not trigger deep wound twice or something?
0 -
If you run them both, it triggers deep wound once.
0 -
Well, I guess I meant, do they both have the caveat that "if you already have deep wound, you can't get unbreakable"?

Part of me thinks it depends on whether you want to have your own perk or hope someone else has Borrowed Time equipped. use a situational perk that's all yours, or pray the other guy (assuming no SWF) brought the more reliable one.
