What is the point of EndGame? Only for Survivors' chance to farm extra points and gloat

What's the point once the gens are done?

The Survivors don't open the gate anyway, so no chance for Blood Warden play.

No One Escapes Death gets you one free insta-down and hook before it's cleansed (if any dull totems were still standing when the gens finished).

It's only purpose, currently, is to allow the survivors who only did gens to farm the extra Boldness and Altruism points they still want.

Killers have no choice but to camp and tunnel at the end game. Disable the second chance perks once the exits are powered (Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, and Unbreakable). They should only be used to counter toxic camping & tunneling during the match like they were implemented for, not to be used as a Get out of Jail Free escape card.

"If the gens are done, then the killer already lost and shouldn't get free kills." Then end the match when the gens are done. You want to farm those sweet Boldness/Altruism points? Do it before you've secured your escape and still have all your second chance BS.

"The killer shouldn't get free kills." You say as you have your 4 free escape perks. Hypocrite trash.

I like endgame. Sometimes half of the game is spent in endgame and you can make it turn around in your favor. And sometimes you cant, because it's an asymmetrical game, so the opposite side is going to win too some games.

It's a mechanic that was placed to ensure that the game will come to an end.

I've gone from 0k to 4k during EGC (and I don't use NOED). I'd dare say for a killer like my boy Leatherface (or any killer with a one shot mechanic), EGC is where they become the most effective.

The pressure of hooking a survivor with the added pressure of a timer makes a lot of survivors make bad plays.

If I know the game is over (like all 4 are at the gate and are just looking to be jerks), I'll just wander away and chill on the other side of the map or look for the hatch for the few extra points when they finally realize I'm not going to watch them act like clowns to mock me. They can tea bag and point to their hearts content; I'll be over here not paying them any attention.

Maybe look up how matches were before egc? I know, Google is hard. Harder than typing out a long winded thread where you complain and completely miss the point even.

Matches have a definitive end now.

Well, the hope is that by the time all 5 gens are done, you as killer has gotten several hooks and maybe even killed one or two people. Then the end game is where you can really pressure for that final kill, or both infact, since the survivors have to go to one of 2 areas

Of course if the gates are far apart, or you haven't gotten many hooks/killed anyone, then the end game is not nearly that threatening. But ultimately the match isn't over until all survivors are dead or have escaped

Well, I've had games where the survivors got down to 1 gen left and then all just went and hid in out of the way places.

If killer can open gates, can we also just click to finish a gen? 😁

Somebody didn't play when pissed off survivors could just hold the game hostage indefinately and derp around forever with open gates.

Endgame was made to counteract this toxic behaviour.
