So as the devs have stated, they want to add incentive for this game. Well and good, it does need that.
How did they do this? Myself and 3 brothers were cut short on cakes on survivor bloodwebs. Sometimes getting none for 5 webs straight from 30+ and up. I went from 33 to 45 yesterday and probably got 1 every 3 weeks. Not even mystery boxes were in some webs either.
Meanwhile killer gets an overhaul.
So their version of "Incentive" is to cut event offerings short one side so youd play the opposite side more? To play the game the way they want you to? Genius devs, absolutely genius.

Really? Killer queues have been very slow during the day and don’t ease up until after seven (at least for me).
Survivors getting fewer cakes in the bloodwebs are because of event item complaints. There weren’t enough event items in the webs, but plenty of cakes. Devs listened and adjusted the percentages and it appears to me that the chances of getting gateaus, flashlights, and medkits are tied to each other so asking for more of one is asking for less of another.
So maybe you and your friends are getting two medkits a web instead of gateaus.

No. They decreased the spawn rate of cakes and increased the spawn rate of items. Usually a single event item will be in each web. Cake, flashlight or medkit.
That said, killers don't get event items therefor the cake is the only thing that can spawn. This also doesn't mean killers get a cake in every bloodweb.

It does seem far more generous on the killer side than the Survivor side. I don't think I've had a Killer web yet that didn't have at least one cake (with 3 being my record on one web).

Huh...that makes sense. I did notice Anniversary Items showed up more often now than pre-hotfix and cakes being a lot more scarce. That explanation explains that.

I've gotten 4 in one web previously but one was in a random box so I wasn't sure if it counted or not :D

Idk I get so many cakes it's insane. Been playing a lot the last days so have more than 300 cakes. And yet I use a cake every game I play, so no cake shortage here 😀

Honestly it would have made more sense to decrease the spawn rate of vanilla items and increase the event ones in their place.
