Does anyone sensible like the billy changes?
To this point, not a SINGLE streamer of dbd has agreed with the billy change (go watch them a lot are streaming rn)
This change was done to please survivors who don't take their time to learn how to deal with him. Like many other changes before sadly (Ruin, for survivors who can't find bones. Nurse, for survivors who loop her like an m1 killer. etc..)
They said it for themselves, "We're very happy with the way billy is performing right now" WHY NERF HIM?
I ask anyone on this forum who still agrees, go watch a stream of someone playing billy right now, and see how long it takes for the chainsaw to cooldown without intentionally overheating it. Because also for me, it didn't look that bad of a change at first glance, but oh my god its horrible.
The chainsaw takes 30 seconds to cool in it's basic state.
The chainsaw takes 15 seconds to cool while overheated.
Please, watch a stream of someone using him right now before replying to this and I hope this bullshit is reverted, cause It's not as bad as Nurse's nerf, It's worse.

Funnily enough, all the guys on here that were saying this was a good thing and that he needed a nerf have gone very quiet. I honestly would like to ask the devs what is the thought process behind killer addons because they always seem extremely gimmicky, situational or just flat out useless

I hate agreeing that this is worse than Nurse's nerf, since I used to main Nurse and I've never been a good Billy, but yeah...it's worse. It really is. I cannot fathom why they thought they needed to gut him this badly when they were actively happy with how he performed.

The fact they let this PTR patch out makes me lose faith into them and their process. How could you NOT test this internally and see that it's UNPLAYABLE? they didn't. That's the answer - they DID NOT play a single game with these changes.
How are people who are supposed to know the game in and out think these changes would do anything other than destroying him completely? where are the "nerfs" to survivors? the ones that put survivors into the Stone Age like they did with Nurse and Billie? Why are the maps reworked to make them easier to play for survivors?
Why do I (as a killer) have to understand every intricacy in the game and be 50 classes over the survivors I face, if I want to even have a chance at winning? DS, Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, pallets out the ass, Ormond map, survive with friends, flashlight spam, tbagging..

The only one that exists now make him 110% speed for the whole match...

That's because they don't know a damn thing.
You don't have to "wAiT fOr PtB". If something is truly a bad change, it's pretty obvious. They just like to see people be wrong, not to mention they don't use the character in question enough to even know, let alone I am not sure why they would even care if they don't use them do the point of lacking information on the topic.
The majority of people said, it would be a nerf. A lot of people said, it would be what is now known as "The Nurse Treatment", which is red cooldown + a bunch of useless addons, and making more issues than are fixed.
Ignorance truly is bliss...

I'm Survivor main.. No, Changes to Billy is soooo bad..
The easy fix rn is to just undo the changes and make his addons with same effect not stacks. Thats it.

Thats because the charge time add ons were part of the problem.
People on here would always argue about how it took Billy the base time to charge his chainsaw therefore he was balanced, which is disingenuous because most Billys would have some add on for charge time.
Now hes actually stuck with the base time and all the killer mains are crying. Just goes to show how wrong people were that were saying Billy is balanced based on his default timings

I think the heat mechanic conceptually is fine just the current numbers and how letting go of M2 still builds up heat just makes the chainsaw overheat too fast.

I don't know what the hell they smoke when they make these add-on passes, but holy ######### are they bad, full of gimmick ones that no one is going to use it.
They've been working on this game for 4 years, and it seems to be getting worse, I mean, what the actual #########.

This nerf raises so many questions to me.
In what universe does it make sense to say "We want to encourage skill-based gameplay" and then turn around and lock him out of the ability to even use the power? Do the devs think survivors are incapable of dodging the saw, thus necessitating the cooldown? What skill level are you trying to balance this game around?
Even if you're trying to balance around rank 15, this nerf doesn't make sense. A rank 15 Billy isn't curving anyone, so this is a cooldown on cross map chainsaws? Is general awareness not something a survivor should be expected to learn? Do we just not have to learn to play the game anymore? If this nerf had high level play in mind, then this nerf is beyond laughable. If you are at red ranks and can't loop a Billy for 20 seconds at least semi-consistently, you don't deserve to win that game or be at that rank, period. This does the exact opposite of what the devs say they're trying to accomplish. It's terrible.

I think because they forcing themselfs to make every killer has the same number of addons (2 pink - 4 purple - 5 green - 5 yellow - 4 brown) same thing happened to some of Nurses addons

I was someone that felt that Hillbilly needed to be brought into line with other killers. It didn't make sense to me, in example, for his abilities to be better than Oni, whom had a dash bar that he had to build up to get - which allowed him to 1-shot down people. Meanwhile, Billy could run forever & not have to build it up first. I did think Hillbilly needed changed. Because it would be easier to bring him down than to bring everyone else up.
I just don't agree with how they changed him. I feel like this instead will just make killers avoid selecting him entirely.

Oni's power makes him impossible to loop at almost any structure. Billy's power makes him easier to loop if he's trying to hit it. Tier lists typically place Oni right by Billy.

I agreed that he needed a change, but they went a bit too far on this one. They need to make it so that the heat dissipates quicker and fix those horrid add-ons.
