Why devs keep making garbage add-ons?
Yes, hillbilly overnerfed and now he is suck. Not about billy's ability itself, but his add-on makes him unplayable.
Why devs keep making garbage purple&pink rare add-ons since around ghost face? It's not about balance, they just don't worth it.
Every purple add-ons on ghost face sucks, every purple on demogorgon sucks, every pink on nightmare sucks...
Every PURPLE+PINK add-on of Deathslinger, Executioner and now Hillbilly, sucks.
GOD DAMN BLEED, HEMORRAGE, UNDETECTABLE, OBLIVIOUS.
These effect sucks, developers. SUCK.
I can't even imagine what are devs trying to do with those garbages. Balance the game around green add-ons by nerfing every rarity over it? Why don't you just get rid of it?

Not sure what happened after plague was released but it's been pretty bad since then. Plague came with good perks, her addons are good. She is good without addons, just a good example of what a killer should be like. Not sure if the people that worked on her quit the company or what but it's been pretty bad since then. Like the devs really think "gives survivor blindness for 60 seconds" is worth a purple add on and I don't get it.

Who cares about addons? Barely ever use them, unless using killers that quite frankly need them to have slightly better chances on reds and they barely ever are of higher quality than yellow.
If you need them to make a killer to be viable in reds, killer sucks balls and need to be buffed/tweaked.
If addons make killer broken, they need to be nerfed.
Billy was too strong for how little downsides he had. Cooldown/overheat is completely fine. Adapt, skill floor is a bit deeper now (bad players will do worse), nothing more has changed.
Cant wait for a spirit rework though, hate her as much as any forced in loot box mechanic in any game.

They're definitely scared to make substantially strong add ons.
Plagues were hreat. There's basically permanent aura reading as long as people stay sick, and shorter, slower corrupt purge every time a gen goes off which SEVERELY catches people off guard.
Pretty sure since they reworked Legion though, they're scared of anything that feels like it dominates the game.
I completely agree with you though, I'm very sick of haemorrhage and blindness add ons wasting slots on killers.

Add ons can be fun ways to change a killers ability and have different synergy with different perks. Hag and some of her add ons come to mind, plague has good add ons etc. I don't use them a lot of times either but I do like to switch it up at times and don't enjoy the meme add ons they are making recently. I'm sure they will but i'm hoping they don't rework spirit. She is the most fun killer to go against imo as it makes you think outside the box.

As a newer player, I don't really understand why there are add-ons- what is their purpose? It seems the devs aren't sure either
Some change the gameplay entirely, some are useless, a lot are straight upgrades so why not use them... so just another bloodpoint burning mechanism? force the grind? It's already grindy just getting the perks you want

Most addons that see the daylight (are often used) are the ones that straight up buff the default power of the killer, they don't change up the gameplay, they just make it easier to achieve the same goals you would have to "work" for. Best examples of such was the instant saw billy or old and already nerfed spamtress, with virtually no windup time; there are many addons still in the game that make default power easier than they should be. How many times have you seen the No Blink nurse with her Iri addons? How many Hags with her traps that block paths but can't port to? How many...oh, wait... there are no powers that change the way you play killer for rest of the rooster, besides the Zzzzreddy.
There are also killers that are "addon dependent", such as Trapper. To be of any threat in reds, in most cases you need a bag for 1 more trap, otherwise being limited to a single one is SUCH A HUGE DOWNTIME, no other killer has such a massive downtime as Trapper with vanilla amount of traps. It is baffling why it wasn't buffed up to 2 yet.
About the spirit, she is unfun to go against and the only reason you have any kind of FUN against her is if you like gambling, as that what gameplay against her is. You gamble, there are no "mind games" that people seem to call "standing still". Even a braindead monkey can do that kind of "mind game". She needs her power to be either reworked into somewhat more engaging one for both sides or have much more information regarding the use of her power "mid chase" to be given to survivors and/or decreased tracking capabilities mid phasing (omnidirectional sounds for an example).
Spirit is literally the "I can't play the game but I still want to win and my 15$ headphones will guarantee it. Oh, to make it more interesting lets use addons, because "mind games" are hard to pull off".

That one Billy ultra rare addon is absolutely terrible. You can keep sprinting after chainsawing through pallets BUT your chainsaw only hits for 1 health state?? WHY is that side effect needed? Its not even that good without the side effect.

I wanna know what drugs you're on to think Billy will be anywhere near as good as he once was after this. He's gutted hard and you're either insane or bad at the game to think otherwise

Never said "He will be as good as pre change", so you better give me the drugs you took instead.
All I said, he will still be fine and change was deserved/needed to put him in a place where mistakes are punished, similarly as how Nurse needed a cd between her blinks so they are not spammable.
Thats all. Length or speed of overheat may or may not require a change, havent played against good survs as him yet in ptb, but those who I versed not much has changed in how I play him. (dont use addons on live Billy nor on on ptb one, I play mostly addonless)
