My billy nerf theory.
I believe they are nerfing billy as a marketing scheme. My theory is with the nerf they are hoping people whom no longer wish to play billy will begin to main oni which will increase their sales. Since the oni's power is slightly similar this could be a possibility But of course this is just a game theory!

Don't think so since The Oni is 9000 Shards.
In any case, I actually tried playing The Oni. His Power does not work 75% of the time, very fun!
Also: Perks sell way more than Killers do.

It means exactly what I typed, it does not work. I press CTRL to activate Blood Fury and there is no response from The Oni.
Try it yourself, happens quite often. Basically I end up being M1 killer.

I know whacha mean. That was one of the things they fixed in the last hotfix.
The Oni: Fixed an issue that prevented Blood Fury from activating if the power meter was filled up while carrying a Survivor.

Well, I tried it literally yesterday, still not fixed.
Just liked "fixed an issue where downed survivors make no noise". Don't believe those patch notes.

I just played a game as him and wasnt an issue. I've had games though where it did like you said.

I play him 5-6 times, and it happened 2-3 times yesterday. Very infuriating and ends up me being a M1 killer.
Anyways, we are getting off-topic here. Let's leave it at that.

I play oni fairly often and almost never have this issue, every once in awhile sure but like maybe 1 time every 10 matches

1 in 10 matches is already too terrible, since it literally disables your playability.
But that statistic is way too generous. For me like I said, played 5-6 games, 2-3 were bugged.

This is a stretch even for the DbD community. The reason BHVR nerfed Billy is because they thought he was overperforming, and now they're going to be "happy with the current design"...just like they're now happy with Ruin's current state, Nurse's current bug-ridden state etc. Doesn't really matter if we're not happy with it. As long as they are it's all good, right?

I meant it happens once per match every 10 matches and I use my powers anywhere between 2 and 5 times per match on average and it will usually just mean i have to click the button again annoying sometimes sure, but its certainly not exactly a deal breaker. Now false saws from billy on the other hand happens at least once a round to me these days.

What would happen if survivors couldn't heal/repair/unhook? Oh yeah, fixed within 3 days max.

They nerfed Billy because Spirit and Freddy just got changes, so nerfing them would mame people mad. God-for-bid Freddy get nerfed.

Real reason for nerf is survivor mains are casual players and not the smartest people in the entity realm, they have to cater to them because literally all they can do is hold M1 and loop killer for 40-60 seconds per chase and the rest unfolds itself with second chance perks and awesome gen speeds. And if that don't work, they try to dictate killer to use perks of their own choice and literally play the way they want so they deem it "fun" (as if killer is here to entertain them) while not giving one damn about killer's fun at all. Selfish and entitled.

I mean I guess you have your own experiences but tbh onis bugs dont seem to be a major talking point for anyone so I think you may just be unlucky
