Since when did this perk start activating even when an exit gate was closed? I purposely didn’t open my gate as I knew the killer had it, I opened it after they had hooked somebody and came towards me yet the exit was still sealed off? Is this a glitch or has it been changed?

Someone opened the other gate before you opened that one would be my guess

They did but I thought it only effected the opened gate and not the closed one? I had no idea it did this as I’ve never seen it happen before.

It was fixed.
If one gate is opened, both exits will be sealed off.

Well it certainly took me by surprise and got me downed. At least now I know. 😂

I don't think it worked like this in the past (which explains why you were confused), but somewhere along the way it got patched.

It’s annoying as I knew the killer had it, as it was an AFK Bubba who miraculously came back to life once the last gen popped. So I rightly predicted he was using NOED and BW. But my teammate was the one who opened. Oh well. I’ll be more careful in the future.

Wholesome thread about someone surprised by a perk, informed by the community about an update and them walking away amused by it and using it as a learning experience for future trials... there are not enough start to finish feel good threads like this in the forums.
