Spring Trap as a killer

I was just wanting to know some opinions on springtrap as a killer.

Yes.
It fits as much if not more so that ST and Ghostface. Dont get me wrong, I like scream, but that franchise is based on a killer (two people) played by shaggy who stab each other in the gut to "get away with it".
And anyone saying its "cringy", explain why other than some YTers said it or you have preconceived notions about a game you never played.
Inb4: its childish. No, it's really not. Its low graphics, and based on jumpscares/anxiety more than flashing gore, but that doesnt make it less brutal than the story actually is.
Plus, the game hasnt been scary in a long time. Sailor outfits, bunny costumes, and pizza boy are clear indicators that the horror aspect is on the backburner.
The only thing scary anymore is a (and get this, its ironic) jumpscare Meyers/Pig/GF, or the clown as Mr Puddles.

No. There's many many many other licensed horror content that should be added before fnaf. It's targeted towards children (books found in kids section) so aside from attracting them to the game parents groups would attack DBD for being an adult game adding a dlc from a franchise targeted towards children - that's just an unnecessary headache that would take away BHVR focus on more important game issues. The fans have been obnoxious with daily posts, harassing streamers (both on social media and streams), and trashing iconic horror characters that I've seen people that were OK with it now be completely against it - some streamers have even banned it from their chats it's been so bad. If DBD were to add an animatronic they could come up with better original content than having a licensed fnaf character.

No. Fnaf is the cheapest horror game out there. This is my opinion, so here I go. It just relies on its jumpscares, and don't come at me with how the story is amazing. The story is absolute garbage, and way too bloated and all over the place for it to even be half decent. Saying a story is good because of how complex it is, would be like saying a song with a screwdriver in a glass bottle, a laundry machine and a drill being played all at once is masterful. Every game is the same, night gaurd, use cameras etc etc. The games are so unoriginal that the scares fail almost all the time. Jumpscares are soooo predictable, and the animatronics just look silly. My opinion though ;).

Thank you for explaining. Side note dbd doesnt really have a story either. It has some lore here and there but thats pretty much it.

True, but dbd is a multiplayer game unlike fnaf. I enjoy the lore of dbd quite a bit actually.

FNAF is probably the most boring chapter idea to be put out. It relied on lame, cheesy jumpscares and sounds to scare.
We only have 3 characters from other games: Cheryl, PH, Bill. The devs are trying to keep horror game characters, not cheesy horror characters. I'd want something entirely unique like The Last of Us.

I mean, I can respect your viewpoint of FNaF, but I don't really think it's fair to say that all of the games are the same. There's definitely more variety than what people give it credit for.

I don’t think I could take it seriously. I already laugh when I see bunny Legion coming at me. I find it hilarious, not scary at all. Same thing for FNAF. It’s also targeted at children, isn’t it? It’s found in toy sections and children sections at bookstores.

Here’s the footage of them saying they don’t know what the hell a springtrap is lmao. Leads me to believe it’s not at the top of their list right now. Not saying it to be biased because I don’t want a FNAF chapter. I just really don’t think it’s an upcoming dlc.
