Hex Ruin or PGTW?

Having a generator that regresses at 200% of the normal regression speed is a nice alternative to having to constantly kick generators. The downside is when the hex destroyed within the first few minutes of a match.

It's very much high-risk, high-reward. Which do you prefer?

    Pop mostly

    Ruin only on totem builds

Imo pop is a much better perk purely for the fact it's useable for the entire match.

Very true. I rarely equip a hex simply because there's nothing more frustrating than having your totem destroyed at the beginning of a match. I just unlocked devour hope not that long ago, and as much as I want to use it, it keeps getting destroyed.

Hex totems rarely stick around for long, and devour hope is probably the worst one of all because you get the most out of it the longer it remains standing. At least with ruin you can slow down the start of a match.

Depends on the build and the killer as certain ones can protect hexes better or can have have a better effect with ruin. In terms of reliability pop because you’re able to use it as long as you keep hooking people. Ruin can be very good especially when paired with the information surveillance can give with it but as stated before in this thread it’s a risk that could be taken away immediately. What can be fun is running surveillance with ruin and pop as a back up but yeah overall reliability’s sake pop.

Both. If ruin stays up, you win, if it goes down, you still have regression. Also gives you more reason to keep ruins best buddy, surveillance, going after it gets destroyed. Ruin surge is also good as surge will still apply to generators being worked on while ruin is up and has decent surveillance value.
