Billy players, when you say addons still what are you referring to?
So changes, and changes again, most people seem to be happy how they’re at least trying EXCEPT I keep seeing “please fix his addons,” can anyone posting this give me a specific example of what they want?
Becaude every time I read that I imagine they’re asking to have stacking charge addons and insta saw back...
So if you’re still upset about addons, but you don’t wanna admit you rely on insta saw when you play Billy give me examples of what you would hope for?

I don't see a single post asking for insta or charge speed addons to be returned. Those people, wherever they exist, are dumb.
I see countless people begging for addons like Mother's Helpers to be redone because they're so useless it's comical. Both of his iri addons are useless and most of his purple are useless.
I don't know what I want them to be, but there has to be something between instasaw and getting a .2 movespeed when a rank 20 tries to blind you in a chase.

Doom and death engravings got nerfed to oblivion with the overheat completely removing mindgames and fun curve "skillbillys", most of his new addons are either useless or just bad, basekit billy is balanced at rank 21 against W gamers that run in a straight line, but good players that nows how to juke billys can easly juke basekit billy or get to windows before going down. I would say spark plug was completely balanced and fair as long as it wasn't stacked with any other movement speed addons, but the only movement speed addon we have now makes billy a 110 killer, and doom gives 7% instead of 20% and death gives 3% instead of 15. so the new crack billy is objectivaly worse than basekit billy. His cooldown addons didn't feel significant and most of his new addons are meme worthy only.

That’s why I’m asking, what? Yes a few addons are dumb, even Iri, although I could argue they have niche uses which puts Billy in line with a lot of other killers still. Not every addons has to just increase or improve The base power.

Thats pretty much what they want. Good add ons that help his power. Obviously they were gutted because they were a major problem and really boosted average players to dominating with a strong killer like Hillbilly.
Its quite clear the devs want some skill to the chainsaws in the game and dont want charge time touched.

Yes, I think leaving one charge addon would have been great still! In regards to the speed loss ruining curving i would like to see how new hit validation impacts that as well

I look back to so many games against double charge/cool down Billy and wish I had a chance to play against those players with his changes...

Well I would assume they'd like add-ons that actually do something instead of something like, I dunno gaining 0.2 m/s while a flashlight is shining on you... That add-on will literally never be useful in any situation ever.
I can't even believe they came up with such an add-on, let alone implemented it. When has someone EVER shined a flashlight on a killer while they're able to move instead of while in the middle of a pallet breaking animation?
That's just the worst example, other bad/worthless add-ons include: Black Grease, Off-Brand motor oil, Big Buckle, Lopro Chains, Iridescent Brick, and imo at least Tuned Carburetor. All those add-ons suck, at least the others slightly help, but those either actively hurt or just do nothing, in addition to Mother's Helpers as described earlier.

He will end up like Nurse. The instasaw players will ditch Billy like the 3-5 blink players ditched Nurse.
And thats fine. Theres nothing wrong with a killer being strong but there needs to be some skill to wielding that power. I dont mind losing to a good Huntress who can thread the needle on every shot and long range snipe because I know that player has a lot of skill. Likewise for Nurse shes not always the easiest to play depending on the map.
Instasaw Billy with meta perks.....basically anyone could pick that up and doninate.
Its why Im not as bothered about Spirit. I know people like to say shes easy to play but I see so many inexperienced spirits perform really badly. Its only current Billy and Doc at the moment where it seems that regardless of killer skill the killer wins, and you need true red rank survivors to have a chance of escaping.

1. Movespeed bonus after breaking a pallet with your saw. (Purple)
2. Silencing your saw when out of a chase instead of the 5 second charge requirement it has now which is useless. (Purple)
3. Getting stunned by a pallet causes your saw to charge faster for x time/causes your heat to instantly charge down (Green/Purple)
4. Keep sawing after sawing a pallet WITHOUT the weird speed limiter addition that makes it literally garbage (Iri)
5. Large field of view bonus while sawing (Yellow)
6. Chainsawing a Gen causes it to start to regress and you suffer no penalty for crashing into a generator (Brown/Yellow)
There. All of these are better than the GREEN rarity Mother's Helpers. "Niche" uses should not mean they only come up once every 10 games. It should mean it can be used in combination with other perks/addons to help you multiple times in a single match.

I would love these changes.
I read above the engravings move speed was nerfed. They should remove the charge time drawback if that’s the case.

Lopros chains are useless. Just have it work at pallets, give it a 5 second cooldown because keeping it a 1 damage state for a 7k Bloodpoint addon is dumb.
A 110% speed for just using a speed addon? Come on...
I Love Spark Plug and it was a brown addon.
Look at Spirit for example, she has multiple addons that improve her gameplay without drawback.
There are way too many drawbacks for Billy's new addons. It's so undeserved.

Time and time again the devs make a perk/addon that's DECENT... then slap on a downside or a huge cooldown or a pointless limitation (Fixated) which then makes it weak or useless. I get not wanting to do another iri hatchet oopsie (But of course it has been around for 3 years with no tweaks so??) but there has to be a happy-medium.

My problem is this was a pure nerf without any corresponding buff in any of Hillbilly’s attributes. No more sawing at will (even though there’s a charge time, movement penalty, and low movement speed cool down). Now you can’t activate it after two attempts.
Make up for it somewheres. It feels like it the hope is just to use the saw for movement then back to M1. Would Billys be happy if they remained 115 or even 105 while charging? What if the charge tike was reduced at base? Anything to compensate for not being able to use his ability.

I'd say the addons needing change are Tuning Guide, Thompsons Mix, and Primer Bulb.
I said this previously in another post that these 3 addons makes his engravings addons Too easy to use, and if they're used together, commonly Tuning Guide and Thompsons Mix, makes it very unfun because along with the instant charge time, if he misses, he can reuse his saw.
His Engravings are fine, I wouldn't consider touching them. It was those addons that made it feel like some of the other hillybilly mains were not as good.

Yeah. I really don't like Hillbilly as someone who tends to play more Killer than survivor, he just isn't very fun to me, but their statement of 'We're happy about where he is right now :)' before taking a dump on him (Not making him HORRIBLE but just straight up nerfing... everything about him) is puzzling. Their recent decision to lighten the heat mechanic is good and Peanits has claimed they may still do some addon tweaking so hope is not all lost.
I wish I could sit in on the devs talking about proposed changes. I wish I could so badly. I need to hear their thought process behind ######### like Mother's Helpers, Big Buckle and the two Iri Addons.
