Do blocked gens regress?
Either by being damaged, surge, ruin or whatever. If a gen is blocked by the entity does it stop regressing or it just stays at its same %?

They do not. I believe it was mclean who said on stream the regression is paused for the duration of the blocking of the gens and once the blocking stops is when the regression starts.

No. It's kind of dumb, but could lead to some stupid combos if they could (Like Ruin + Dead Man's Switch forcing a regress for up to 45 seconds). It's probably best that they can't.

No, they don't. I still don't get why people still do Ruin and Thrilling.
It's why perks such as Cheryls perk to block a gen exist.

Yes such combos are what give Perks like DMS value in the first place. I don't see a point in just "Blocking" the gens you can just wait out the blocking then finish it instantly

If you wait out DMS, then it did its job. Gens take 80 seconds by default to complete, by the time DMS runs out you could have gotten another Gen halfway done. Wasting up to 45 seconds is a big deal. The weakness of the perk is that you need to hook your obsession, not that the gens can't regress while it's active.
