Sure they listened, BUT...

Why is the chainsaw denied in first place ?

This was the most annoying part about it ... not being able to use it. Sure it'll not overheat as frequently. but I don't know why they don't just give it a drawback when overheated.

Like hitting survivors with overheated chainsaw makes them Broken.

Why broken though? Applying the Deep Wound Timer would be better in my opinion.

Thats not even a draw back. You just gave the killer the ability to give broken for free. Broken is extremely powerful considering you can't even heal for the entire duration of it making you one shot.

I think denying it is fine, now that the overheat values have been reduced and it's way easier to simply not overheat the weapon. I think good Billys will easily be able to manage the overheat of Billys chainsaw, so having the chainsaw being disable for 12 seconds or whatever the time is for overheating your weapon is a fair punishment.

Well that is the problem because good billys back revv and mindgame you. Now if billy makes a small mistake he is punished grately.

It feels like they wanted to make billy similar to oni.

Well I believe that won'tt be the case now that they are toning down the nerf to Billy greatly. People will still be able to use his chainsaw effectively in chases, just with a small limit if they misplay too much.

True. They will be punished. And this punishment will affect the new players not the old ones.

It is a drawback: the survivor would be downed otherwise.

I just agree that it is not necessary to give it a cooldown. If a survivor is being chased and the Hillbilly doesn't manages his overheat correctly, he still would be punished for misusing his chainsaw by applying Deep Wound Timer only. But at least he has the choice to leave the person and sprint to another part of the map.

With a cooldown, he has to continue chasing as an M1 killer or just takes the L and walks off.

EDIT: Just saw you were talking about the broken status effect and I'd also kind of agree on that one. It would just be weird to put in on the overheated chainsaw I think.

Oni's power is insanely strong so he has to work for it very hard. If survs don't heal he doesn't even necessarily have a cooldowna nd can just use his power for free again and again and again

You can't quite compare him to billy. Billy is way more restricted in the possibilities the chainsaw provides.

And when you say the should give him more utility.. wouldn't that actually be just that if he can applay broken effect right now? it's a drawback, yes, but at least he can still use his chainsaw

I don't know why they keep adding cooldowns during which they just make them m1 killers. It's not fun.
