What Quality of Life Improvements Would You Like to See in the Future?

I'm not talking anything too huge or balance changes but just simple things they could change or add that would make all the difference for you. I have a few personally.

1. Hook Struggle Mechanic Change

Probably the thing I want most in this game at the moment. Not much to really say about it but just something I'd love to see happen. I've been killed so many times because of the hook struggle mechanic and any kind of change would be so nice.

2. Loadout Slots

Having a couple loadout slots for perks/Outfits would be a fantastic addition to the game. I always forget it's a thing I want when thinking about this stuff but it's one of those things that if they did add it, I'd probably wonder how I went so long without it.

3. Bots (mainly for KYF)

This one is definitely a bigger change but once again I would adore bots, mainly for KYF so you could practice different killers you've never played, various builds and addons without actually having to go into a game or get a party setup.

4. Customizable Start Screen

A really simple one but I'd enjoy being able to change the intro screen to have various past backgrounds and have the survivors of my choice around the fire. Right now they switch randomly (I think) but I'd enjoy being able to choose my own 4 survivors that sit at the fire and different backgrounds to go with it. Heck, if they did ever add bots then the survivor bots could be wearing whatever outfits you had on. I think that'd be neat as well.

What about you? What are the biggest QoL changes you want to see.

    I completely forgot about the refund/craft one. Me and my buddy talk about that one all the time and is another I'd personally kill for. Those would all be neat additions I think though.

    The struggle mechanic exists purely to limit the killer from getting you into the basement from anywhere on the map. It serves no other real purpose but to pressure the killer into deciding what hook is the most optimal. So on that front it's fine where it is.

    Loadouts and searching perks and items/offerings/addons.

    The reason I don't think this would work is because then the rarer addons could be much more accessible and then subsequently have to have their power reduced in order to not just have (when they're actually good) pure red addon killers who just recycle all other addons into material for constant red addon games. But as someone who only uses the CD addons on Nurse though I wouldn't mind it because I have to spend so god damn much just to keep them stocked up.

    1. Perk Load-outs (It's really difficult searching through perks, it would be REALLY REALLY nice to be able to have Perk Load-Outs you can just select). Maybe about 10 to 20 Perk Load-Out slots.
    2. Hook Struggle Mechanic - This is annoying and needs to be changed. Just have it set as holding a button down instead of having to tap space bar continually.
    3. Struggle Mechanic - Change this to holding down a button instead of hitting 2 different buttons.

    I've never seen this addressed, and it's always annoyed me: not having rank update error block the screen and then kick you to the startup screen when you acknowledge it. You can still hear the scoreboard being updated in the background, so I don't get why you're not allowed to see it (especially everyone's loadouts).

    It's interesting seeing so many people suggesting a search option. I never really had an issue with finding things where I'd would personally want a search function but it does seem like a nice addition. It's quite nice seeing these other QoL things I've never really thought about.

    Sorry, I worded that pretty badly but I meant the hook struggle phase not the killer carrying you around one.

    Personally, I would love the small refund mechanic more then a crafting one but I don't think a crafting mechanic would be all that bad depending on the costs for each thing. If things were super easy to craft then yeah, that would be a problem but I think having a small system to get rid of a ton of offerings/addons you'll never use in order to get just a few addons/offerings you will would be okay.

    Nothing too crazy like an advanced part system but just a simple recycling system like 10 of brown gets you a single yellow of your choosing kind of thing with each color requiring 10 of the previous. I don't think that would be too bad a system and it'd let people get rid of the crap they're never going to use.

    I definitely agree with number 2. I think being able to see who was in a SWF would be a nice little addition for survivor and killer both. As someone who plays solo now and then I think it'd be neat to know if my teammates were a group or not. Number 1, 6 and number 7 are also ones I wouldn't mind seeing.

    I would love a build randomizer that automatically selects perks, items, addons and offerings .

    Ohhh that'd be really neat. I've used some offsite randomizers before but having one in-game would be a pretty cool addition.

    being able to see fellow survivors perk and item loadout as well as offering so we can try to synergize better as randoms, this wouldn't even benefit SWF because they know this information already.

    better gate placements on maps since nothing says fun like having a closed hatch and a huntress with both gates within throwing distance of each other.

    when playing killer if the enemy has a SWF they'r repair speed should be handicapped per party member, randoms should be un-effected by this.

    I would add this:

    • Perk rarity and cost homogenization so all perks cost the same and have the same rarity, no more collages of yellow, green and purple perks, this would also order them alphabetically since right now the game groups them by rarity and then orders them by letter, much easier to find them.
    • Perk and add-on loadouts, especially for Killer as you can use different Survivors as loadouts for different playstyles.
    • Struggle mechanic changed or completely removed.
    • Option for people to DC AFTER someone else has DCed, if Survivors DC after the first one Killer gets to keep his addons, if Killer DCs Survivors get to keep addons too (only if Killer DCs).
    • Option to destroy (or refund but I could settle for destroy) unwanted offerings, I dont wanna have my offering inventory cluttered with tokens for The Game or Hawkins or Clear Reagent (as Survivor) or Red Forest or Murky Reagent (as Killer) or Midwich as both.

    I believe all of this can help reducing the non interactive frustrating aspects of the game.

    Oh my bad, yes the hook struggle should be made into something way better. I have personally eliminated any problems with it through a macro and Logitech g600 + software. I no longer have to mash buttons for struggling on their shoulder or during the 2nd hook phase. It's so nice, I wish everyone could experience it.

    Honestly, accessibility options are #1 to me.

    For me I just like customizing stuff and would like to change the colour of UI elements and auras, but for many people that are colourblind or other things it could massively improve their gameplay experience.

    Making the button for picking up a Trapper trap different from picking up a survivor.

    Let's say a recently unhooked survivor steps in a step. You hit them so they're in the dying state, and they're laying right on top of your trap. Instead of wasting time making sure you're picking up the trap instead of the survivor who may have DS, map the "pick up trap" button to Ctrl so you waste less time.

    This is a really good idea. I have friends that would really benefit from this, just for learning the mechanics of the game without having to find a time where we can KYF just so they can practice.

    Make default survivor outfits + Prestige a set to easily equip them all at once. Alongside the potential of some custom slots!

    1. Change object of obsesion.
    2. Revork spirit so its fun for both sides. (As survivor you have to literally guess, its frustraiting)
    3. Serach bar for perks.
    4. Backgrounds for all maps. (for example hills in the distance, similar to the Deathslinger map)
    5. Flashlight add-ons rework.
    6. Hook strugle mechanic change.
    7. SWF indicator in post game.
    8. Bots for players that disconect.
    9. More meta perks so there is variaty.
    10. Remove perk tiers.
    11. Remove / rework insanely op add-ons like iridesen hatchet, pinky finger etc.
    12. Rework ebony mori.
    13. Being able to try cosmetic combinations in the in-game store.
    14. Rework some old characters like Nea, Meg, Laurie so theyr faces arent scuffed.
    15. More facial expressions.
    16. Devotion and prestige rewars.
    17. Rank rewards.
    18. Keys rework.
    19. Add practise mode with bots.

    Some of these may have already been said.

    - Accessibility options. I'll risk someone using it to gain an advantage so someone that needs help seeing can play.

    - Sharing of offerings, items, and add ons similar to mobile. When you prestige only the perks will reset. This way if you're at red rank when new DLC comes out you can atleast burn extra BP offerings with the new character, as survivor have atleast an item to use if you don't have many perks yet.

    - Ability to trade in offerings, items, addons for BP.

    - For survivor make it so Pick up Item and Interaction buttons can be different buttons.

    - Remove gamertags from lobby and during match, replace with either Survivor 1 Survivor 2 or with character names. At end game screen put character names next to gamertags for reporting purposes.

    - Make struggle/wiggle be holding down a button. If you let go you give up.

    - If a player DCs from a match any players that complete match should atleast get a safety pip. If a survivor DCs have entity animation play. If second to last survivor the hatch would open after the animation like they were sacrificed on hooked.

    - Instead of each color of a perk having multiple levels just make yellow level one, green level two, and purple level three. This will help cut down on the grind.

    - Personal stats: games played, characters killed, characters you've escaped with, killers you've escaped from, totems cleansed, gens repaired, number of survivors caught it bear traps, etc. I know it's a bummer to not see old stats but it'd be nice to have something put in place to see going forward. Would also help in tracking how close you are to completing an achievement.

    Many of my suggestions have already been written up

    One thing I haven't seen is related to the rift - challenges for the rift being able to be changed in-lobby and don't un-ready players when they go into it. And when you're in-game, you see your challenge and it's progress.. so you know you need to kick 4 more gens or stun the killer 2 more times, etc.

    Also the ability to see your daily quests when you're searching for a match. Why is it disabled? it baffles me

    That is a fantastic one right there. I'd love if they added this, I've gotten plenty annoyed from thinking I finished one of my challenges, daily's but being a little but short. This would be a wonderful addition.

    HUD indicators for each survivor's hook stage. Both as Killer and survivor, I'll get thrown off in a match because I mixed up which hook stage someone was on. Ironically, this has the biggest impact on trying to play nice as Killer- If I'm winning, I'll try to get everyone to 2 hooks before killing anyone, but a lot of times I'll mix up similar survivors and wind up killing someone earlier than planned. It would also save everyone that awkward moment at the exit gates, where you see someone being carried to the hook and everyone just stands around waiting for the hook to see if they're dead or not.

    2. Survivor bots. I'd love to practice various killers with bot survivors. It would be a helpful mechanic that would encourage more people to try more killers without fear of messing up.

    Perk Inventory: A way to quickly see which characters have a specific perk.

    Ex: look up Barbecue & Chili and you can see which Killers have it and at what rank.

    You want to do a survivor build but forget why had Kindred or something. See who has the perks you want to use.

    #1. Practice Mode

    It is PAINFUL playing a killer you've never played before in Red Ranks. I'm a decent Pig and a decent Doctor. Legion I'm mixed with. I have my good days, and my bad days. But I like to switch it up sometimes, and want to add Ghostface, Myers, Demogorgon, and Spirit to my repertoire. But they play VERY differently. Spirit and Demogorgon definitely. I can do OKAY as Ghostface and Myers sometimes, probably because Myers is one of the first killers I really started playing after I got done with M1 Billy. Spirit is a 110 killer, which I forget 90% of the time.

    #2. Cross-Progression.

    Let people have one account across consoles/pc if they want. I kind of want to move to PS4, but it's daunting to think about having to get EVERY PERK back.

    #3. Quick Play

    Let people join a neutral queue, and then get placed into whichever queue time is shorter. While I realize this is basically another way of "Play Killer", it'd still be nice to have. Maybe give a 10,000 BP Bonus to people who pick this option.

    #4. Make a perk store instead of random perks appearing in the blood web. Replace the perks with Perk Points.

    #5. Sort Perks. Including a custom order.

    I'm not going to repeat the ones I saw suggested but.. I've made that suggestion before elsewhere

    A completion progress on characters for unlocked perks.. They have it for outfits in the store, so why not for perks? You start at 3/240 on survivor and it goes up with each unlocked perk, to see how many perks I'm missing on someone I'm trying to max out.

    Or heck, go all the way and do it for total levels (number of perks * 3) , and have it show how many perks you unlocked on that character no matter which level, and have it show how many perks are at level 3. Would help prevent having to go through 5 pages of perks counting level scratches to calculate how many perks you're missing.

    I never even thought about a loadout selection, that would be amazing. I personally would like an option to simultaneously queue as both killer and survivor to get matches faster, chances are your always gonna get survivor though, considering how few killers there are.

    -Well many acessibility tools who's already on the mobile version, They have a visual cue for terror radius, certain perks like premonition.

    -Increased rewards for daily rituals (maybe the ability to choose between a survivor & killer one).

    -Purpose to ranks.

    -Purpose for devotion.

    -Perks tweak to mix the "meta" a bit.

    My idea to a purpose for ranks:

    At Rank Reset, you get a BP Bonus based on what rank you were.

    Red Rank = 50,000 BP Bonus

    Purple Rank = 40,000 BP Bonus

    Green Rank = 30,000 BP Bonus

    Yellow Rank = 20,000 BP Bonus

    Brown Rank = 10,000 BP Bonus

    Rank 20 = NO BP Bonus

    Meaning if you're red rank on both sides, you could get a 100k bonus BP every month!

    Just gonna add this one change I'd like...

    Please add P3 skins to the outfit tabs. Why do I have to individualy pick each piece of a set when you added in the outfits mechanic? I should be able to just click the P3 of any character in the outfit tabs. This blows my mind that it wasn't done in the first place.

    Lots of things people already suggested BP cap increase, any disability help with color blindness or option for struggle phase to not have tapping where this mechanic can not only mess up no disability players but for those unable to constantly press that fast due to muscle or something type of disability so that they could enjoy the game and not always be essentially two hooked. There’s lots of other things that I agree with but my big one that I want is ability to see your progress in game to the emblem system with numbers and maybe xp too. This would keep a lot of things in check possibly resulting in higher level of play on both sides both knowing what progress they have made and what they are lacking and can work on in game rather than end game. This could also help with knowing when you are losing points in certain situations maybe not like healing points that you lose as killer but like if you maybe are a little too close to the hook and time has passed by looking for a survivor where you start losing points. Not that it’s a big deal as when you’re pretty good you’re not losing much to that so just a thought but at least the positive points being shown in game to what you have and maybe reduction could come when the game is over.

    Better HUD ingame would be nice. I'd like to see for example which survivors I hooked how many times and on survivor something like small obsession claws for all survivors (to notifiy chases).

    I always find it odd when I max out in points in a category but don't get an iridescent emblem. Something showing where you're at in the emblem would help, especially with the rift challenges where you need certain emblems in certain categories.

    No more holding down m1 and actually allowing survivors to do other things that requires more skill than doing one thing.

    No more rng because you can get maps with infinite loop titles for survivors to loop killers around.

    Fix match making and actually make it be based off skill.

    Something I started doing as killer is when I see more than one BPS or cake used and I have DH or a mori loaded (rare that I load a mori unless I have a daily), I tend to not use it unless it's a sweaty SWF. Most of the time, they realize I'm not using my Mori and tend to not be too sweaty. Sometimes, they force the hand.

    I guess I'd like to see that be somewhat enforced. I hated when I used to run a BPS and so did others (especially in solo que) only to be tunneled and mori'd. I think if the killer does not use a BPS/Cake and uses a mori, he gest no bonus if he actually moris someone. He just gets his normal BP, no benefit of the BPS. Why should he be rewarded for something other's paid for and he cut short with an overpowered offering.

    I know, many killers will scream at this, but that is nothing normal. If you are going to mori a whole team, you should not benefit from their offering. Heck, I'd be ok if survivor offerings no longer affect killer.
