Vsync and fps cap.

Not aware of anyone being able to totally uncap their fps, however you can increase the fps cap. Before I tell you how just note that this is only possible on PC and there is no point capping your FPS higher than 120 because the devs have hard capped 120 fps as the limit.

To increase the fps cap you have to edit the game files. First, close the game. Go to C:\Users\(YourName)\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Find GamerUserSettings.ini. Open it with Notepad (double clicking to open it should be fine). Press CTRL + F and type "Frame" and you will find a variable named "FrameRateLimit=..."

Change whatever number that comes after the '=' to what you want the FPS cap to be. So for example, "FrameRateLimit=120". Then save the document. That's it.

Also if you're afraid of getting banned for modifying the game files, many others including me have had our FPS uncapped for years with no problems whatsoever. The devs do not officially endorse it though. Hope this helped you.

Edit: Forgot a step, forgive me I haven't done this in a while! You also need to change the variable "bUseVSync=True" to "bUseVSync=False". I believe that is all.

Yes... kind of. I believe you still need to change the FrameRateLimit variable as I mentioned above because I still think you'll be capped to 61 FPS if you don't. It's a little weird.

To change the FPS cap you don't need to edit anything in the engine.ini document. Mind you, there may be some method to completely uncap the FPS that I am unaware of, which could include editing that document. I've not looked into doing that.
