Really matching system? How the F is this fair?
I'm killer level 17, and the stupid matching system puts me against survivor friends who's members with the lowest rank were 8. Really?? How is that supposed to be fair?

Matchmaking problems lately that are getting fixed. Probably a glitch since rank reset hit a few days ago. I was playing as Survivor and I noticed that killer was Rank 18 or 19 and one person in our group was rank 8 or 9.

This is 100% because there are no actual low rank survivors who play the game solo. Any survivor who would be new to the game usually is brought into the game by a friend who is already a higher rank so they queue with them.
What this does is make finding a match as a lower rank killer incredibly long and difficult because it can't find 4 solo rank 20 survivors for you, so after a certain amount of time it just throws you into a group of survivors that have been waiting in queue and it doesn't give a damn what your rank is.

Well, the match making system didn't really look for long for a fair match. That match was found pretty quickly.

So my friend bought the game earlier this week and wanted to play killer. We are noticing that around 90% of his matches are putting him into games with at least 2 purple or even red rank players in his matches at rank 20 killer. Its complete and utter bullshit that it is even forcing him to play against these SWF groups.
I think hes maybe had 1 game of actual new potato survivors who were actual rank 20s like him. But this game is only about survivor fun though so maybe there isn't an issue.

Recently my laptop broke, and it’s currently in the shop for repairs. I decided in the absence of DBD on PC, I’d play the copy I own for my Xbox. I was rank 20 on that platform as I hadn’t played it in like a year. After a coup,e matches, I’m grateful to be rank 20 because these abysmal controls sure help me play like one.
My THIRD Survivor match, I get paired up with 3 green rank Survivors and a rank 1 Hag.
I wanted to make like my Jake and stop existing.

At least your perks are pretty solid. I'm Rank 16 on PS4 and regularly get matchups that look like that. Luckily I've got a lot of experience, but the lack of perks is hurting me.

Matchmaking system is broken. They said they’re fixing it but we don’t know when. They announced a new system back in January but there’s no release date for it yet.

I'm waiting for them to confess that there is really no matchmaking system. The players are getting matched randomly.
In all seriousness though, I hope the upcoming MMR system actually reflects skill.
