Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How do you react when you fall for bloodwarden?

Your teammates or yourself opens the gate and a survivor gets hooked and you go for the big boy unhook. You take a hit for the survivor and go to run out when you see the exit gates are blocked and the killers standing right behind you. How do you react?

Noed makes me a little angry, instead bloodwarden leaves me surprised.

I am a killer main so when I play survivor, I always play around things like Blood Warden. Have not gotten trapped by it in a very long time. Being a killer player allows me to make decisions based on what a killer would do or is doing in a situation. The main perks I play as if all killers have, nurses, BBQ, Blood Warden, and noed.

It’s usually quite obvious that they’re trying for a BW play so I haven’t fallen for it in a long while. When I do though I’m always impressed and throw them a gg post-game.

It’s alright saying that YOU play around it, but whenever I get caught by it, it’s because a teammate has opened the gate, which is something I can’t stop lol.

I recently had an AFK Bubba who ‘came back to life’ once the last gen popped with NOED and I knew he had Blood Warden but didn’t realise it’s now been changed that if one gate is open it also affects the other one. That definitely caught me off guard. 😂

100% agree, the last time I can remember getting hit with Blood Warden was becuse a teammate opened gate but that was prior to my recent 10 month break so it was over a year ago.

    You are correct there

I was actually in shock that somebody on my team opened the gate. It was so obvious he had it. Why else would he only start playing once the last generator was fixed? Him also having NOED was a huge giveaway. Luckily, I still managed to escape. But it was a close one lol.

I play the same as you, I just assume that every killer has it. It’s the best way to be. Better to be safe than sorry.

    Honestly,

I laugh about it and am happy for the killer. Pulling it off is hard work in high ranks and if the killer manages to, he deserves credit.

I usually chuckle, and then say "Cheeky bastard", because I have been on the inflicting end of that scenario and the Killer is feeling real good right now.

I might fall to it, but I never fall for it.

I usually look at the killer, point at them and say..."Well Played good sir, excellent strategy."

I can actually demonstrate my reaction to seeing my roommate and friend end up on the wrong end of Blood Warden with this Twitch clip.

Short version: I found it hilarious. Partly because we were playing on Switch, where BW is not common since Freddy isn't in it (thus the only way currently to get the perk is nab it on the Shrine of Secrets) so I got a kick out of how unexpected it was. Plus in the clip you'll see it visible before any of us react to it.

Well I always 99% gates if I plan on trying to save someone, or the killer is about to hook someone.

If I'm not planning on sticking around I'll 99% a gate if the killer is about to hook someone, then open it after the hook and just leave.

If I decide I want to go for a save then I already commit to mind that I may not survive and bloodwarden doesn't surprise me.
