The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Why do killers hate object of obsession?
It also let's the killer know where the survivor is and you could just tunnel ooo users, but why do you guys hate the perk when it has plenty of downside to being run as well?

Because its abused by swf and people only use it to annoy other players. Thats the only damn reason its used aside from adept laurie.
You see the adept laurie players and they play normal. Everyone else with OoO runs at you and click click click with the flashlight....as in OoO didnt give them enough attention now they’re gonna click the flashlight too.
They’re like an annoying fly buzzing around you. It ruins the game and the atmosphere for other players.

If it's part of a SWF, it allows the entire team to do gens while you're essentially forced to chase after one single person as they'll just tell their buddies any time you're coming near them. Sure, you know where they are at all times but they also know where you are at all times. It can take an obscene amount of time to get that one down and by that point, usually (at least) 3 gens are done.
As solo, I don't really care all that much. I've found that people running it solo are constantly trying to get you to chase them and when you go after someone else, they STILL are trying to get your attention for you to chase them so you've got 2 survivors out of commission instead of just the 1 you are chasing.

Well someone that uses OoO is usually a good looper & plays quite toxic (usually). As a trap-based killer, it can hardcore negate your traps if the OoO is communicating with their team especially. It also screws over killers that want to approach survivors stealthily, but dont have the luxury of being able to go undetectable. Also on the new map it is extremely abusive, as the survivor can literally keep their eye on you at all times & just hold W around the map making it extremely hard to ever catch up to them.
I personally don't care about OoO much, unless I'm Trapper. That's when it irritates me & I will not hesistate to tunnel, camp, & slug said survivor. Pretty much makes Trapper useless, so the best thing to do is remove them from the game asap by any means.

The killer knowing where one survivor is vs the whole swf team knowing where the killer is. It’s not exactly a good trade. OoO is almost always ran by swfs and it makes it a lot more powerful and annoying. That’s why they don’t like it.

Most OoO players tend to be very cocky and toxic. Alot of the time they are also in a 4 man swf and can tell everyone what you are doing at all times. While yes you can tunnel them, alot of them want you to do it to waste your time as they tend to be pretty good loopers.
Obviously it's not always like this with an OoO but when you see there is one at the start of a match its never a great sign

It's a better version of Spine Chill and Premonition, gives you much more time to run off, or hide or initiate your loop.
I've been playing with it for 3 days and I've been having a blast.

OoO is an issue when the survivor running it doesn't try to hide. If that survivor just starts getting distance before the killer gets there, it can elongate chases tremendously. The reason hate falls on OoO instead of on game mechanics is because the developers don't seem to be changing those any time soon, and it's just so much easier to point to a perk and say, "This is bad!" than spend time thinking about the entire issue.
In other words, OoO highlights the glaring issue of distance gain by survivor and how that can impact a match. It serves as a reminder that if given the tools, a survivor can have incredible control over the location of a chase, and since the devs aren't addressing that issue, people are hating on OoO.
I've had two games recently where OoO was used by a somewhat stealthier survivor, and the experience is completely different from facing an OoO user who just wants to be in chase/ lure the killer away from objectives.

because OoO gives the survivor too much information, and the killer cant counter it if they aren’t a stealth killer
the OoO survivor is able to run super early since they know the killer is coming to them, and most of the time said survivor is really good at looping
also, gotta mention that its an actual pain on certain maps (most notably midwich)

If OoO is run by a survivor, you know that player, and quite likely the entire team, is attempting to make your match as miserable as possible.

I solo run OoO and you won't believe how many people get mad at me for "cheating" by telling others (the whole 0 other people I'm playing with) his location... this even happened with a wraith. Like dude, OoO against you is a major buff for you.

On demand, 100% perfect information on the killer whenever you want that can be communicated to your swf group, and gives you full control over the location of the next chase if the killer decides to come after you as well as giving you an insane head-start. Also hard-counters Trapper, Hag, and Freddy. It also has ZERO counterplay unless you happen to playing as a stealth killer or running some niche AF perk like dark devotion.
Also, good luck trying to catch someone with this on Midwich.
Survivors have finally discovered how broken this perk really is and the floodgates are open. I'm surprised it's taken this long tbh. I used to only see it on hyper-optimized 4-man swf, but now it crops up every other game, and it makes playing killer a nightmare.
