Is it just me?

I've played dbd for years now. I've always loved it, even before I started playing, but it just feels boring now. Idk what it is, but I rarely wanna even start up the game now, and I hate that considering how much time and money I've put into it, and when I do start it, I either get a feeling of dread or just plain tired, from just loading the game up.

I think its the bad match making getting to you as most matches are one of 2 things:

So easy its boring because match making put people too far below you against you.

    Or

Its agonizingly difficult because it put people to far above you against you.

Its so rare to get a fair game right now and its killing my motivation to keep on playing.

This is really normal for every game in the world. What helps is to use the time and look into another game that has caught your interest but that you've never touched because you'd rather play DBD. Especially if it's something totally different, maybe a single player game you're interested in? I guarentee you, the more often you start the new game, the more you will miss your "main" game. At the latest when there's new content in DBD you will crave coming back and try it out, with the old excitement and that nice "ahh, good to be back" feeling.

My actual main game is Overwatch and DBD was supposed my "pause" game, since OW has buffed a certain hero I hate and gameplay is starting to get too annoying. I kinda fell in love with DBD and will definitely stick to it too, but cannot wait to get back into OW once the changes I dislike get hopefully changed again :o

So in short: videogames are not like a monogamous relationship. Try out new things, make new experiences, maybe find another game you like for nice breaks and then enjoy coming back to fall in love with DBD all over again whenever you feel like it.

    yeah thats a burnout.

most have had that at some point, including me.

my advise is to just play other games for now, until you want to play DbD again. dont force it, otherwise its just going to get worse and worse until you quit once and for all.

the point of the game is to be fun to play, so if you dont have fun while playing, taking a break is the best thing you can do (the length of the break can vary from person to person - i was gone for a few months some time after the Hag release and only came back when they released the Doctor).

I’ve walked away several times for several months. I always come back and just seem to get worse every time. I kinda miss it just being a few killers. Like after clown or spirit came out. It is what it is. If you’re burned out better to chill out before the whole ######### house goes up in flames.
