Is the deathslinger based on a real person?
I know alot of dbd killers have some insporations of real people or legends so i was wondring if the deathslinger had some kind of inperation of a western bounty hunter or someting.

not sure could be..

I would hope not. That would make the game kinda disgusting if it was paying homage to real murderers

Doctor is based off of a Chinese "Doctor" who would use electroconvulsive therapy to "cure" his patients of their addictions, most commonly to video games (hence Feng Min the gamer). Many of these ended fatally.
Iirc Bhvr was actually asked to create the Doctor based on this to raise awareness about it but I have no source for this second claim.

Uh,
Nobody tell him that in the last poll there was an option for "real life" under the question "From what medium (other than TV and movies) would you like to see new licensed chapters introduced?" alongside the options of "video games, Books, Manga, and Comics"

i heard he was inspired by a book character called "the gunslinger" by Stephen King.
i dont know whether thats true or not, but from what i heard that would be entirely possible.

He looks very similar to the Saint of Killers from Preacher.

To be fair. Leatherface was based on Ed Gein.
He has been inspiration for movie killers such as
Psycho (1960), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), and The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
As other have said, many killers in media are inspired by actual events and serial killers.
Clown is an inspiration from John Wayne Gacy in many aspects of it's character. (Not including Gacy's fixiation)

He was based on an old gunslinger of unknown name, but many of the details are the same. Instead of the gun design being stolen from him it was actually just described as dumb and gay af (the wild west era was actually pretty homophobic despite my impressions from brokeback mountain and westworld) anyway he then tried to shoot the villain who mocked his gun right in the face and instead ended up disembowelling him, forever earning him the name of "the cringeslinger"

John Wayne. Meanwhile, the Clown was John Wayne Gacy. 😛
(I am just making this up. I just wanted to make a stupid reference.)
