WINNING BY EXISTING is stupid
Spirit - just stand still and do NOTHING and watch how survivors mindgame themselves and some even run into your arms
Deathslinger - just keep holding W and maybe throw in some M2 tapping and watch how survivors wiggle around closing distance for you

"Oh no, I have to think as a survivor instead of just holding M1 and W!"
lol

Reductio ad absurdum.

DS is an even bigger offender, you don't even have to have it on and every killer will just assume you have it because of how ubiquitous it is unless they see no obsession.
18 -
Same for NOED. Except with NOED you don’t even get the Obsession as a clue

Do bones
14 -
Doesnt sound like "simply existing".
Still more work than hiding until all your friends die and using hatch. 🤷♀️
13 -
it is not to win for existing, it is only to make mind games..
2 -
"NO why i can't control killer's power ?!"
4 -
It's about as stupid as winning by holding m1 real good.
4 -
Agreed! 🤣
2 -
Slug for the ds.

Sorry, I have been finding the joke all these minutes on google earth, and I still can't find it

they can't to hard.
4 -
Then you did your job and now they have 2 usseles perks slots.
While he's using unbreakable, you're chasing someone else, which means you're applying pressure to 2 survivor at one time, and it is 1 time use, so the next time you slug him you're applying pressure to 3 survivor at one time.

Oh no, I just got ormond/badham/ward/mothers/midwich etc, guess ill lose due to the map existing.
At least slinger has a counter and isn't 100% win, spirit isn't either if you play safe.
4 -
Umm that’s the point, did you not read the post?
You have to assume the killer has it and “do bones” even if they aren’t using NOED. You need to respect it even if the player doesn’t have it just like DS. Except there’s no indication the killer has NOED, and you really have to go out of your way to avoid it. With DS theres at least an obsession as an indication and if you dont hang around the hook/go for the guy rushing the unhook you can easily avoid DS.

So now the increased recovery is op or what?
But anyways, I wouldn't mind if they change that, it never helps.

I'm not going near the spirit discussion, but the deathslinger complaints about being able to zone survivors and make them dodge without attacking apply to other killers as well. PH and demo mostly, but faking alt attacks and going for a normal one after survivors start dodging is nothing new either, huntress does it, pig does it etc

I hate these kinds of posts... they're always made by someone who either hasn't played the killers themselves, or doesn't understand the killers mechanics enough to make an informed judgement call, so they just come here to ######### about their own ignorance while trying to rile up everyone else.
Try actually Playing Spirit and Deathslinger until you get at least decent with them first, and then decide if you are simply "winning by existing" or not. Until then, this post is just more banal whining.

It's the same thing as killer what actual thinking are they doing standing still or ads spamming to bait juking?

Billy has been doing it FOR YEARS. Lol

Is it nuts I thought this post was going to be about the hatch?

How does tunneling correlate to noed or totems?
Oh that's right it doesn't.

Lol arguing a killer is op by trying to 1v1 someone is silly.

Your response, was to their response about noed and doing bones.
Plus, noed and DS arent the same.
Ds can be used in non tunneling situations.
Noed cannot be used if bones are done.

Survivors - Crouching in a bush waiting for the hatch while teammates do all the work then die.
3 -
Your mom is calling you, you must do your homework.

Guessing doesn't require any thinking. Lol

You get the Killer who clearly doesn't play good as a clue. If he did play well, he wouldn't have Noed.
Most of the Time you can call if a Killer has Noed. It requires Awareness.

Lol did OP just call someone little boy? GTFO Karen.

"What will x do when i do y?"
You know spirit might be standing still instead of actually phasing, yet somehow they're to blame for you to run into ther arms? They invest in this trick and you could be increasing the distance, yet here we are with you getting a faceful of katana shards.
1 -
Not comparable at all. Billy: 2.5 s charge time, and cooldown between canceling M2 and being able to M1 depends on how much you charge. Meanwhile DS and PH can instantly M1 after canceling. Demo has a very slight delay

BBQ existing is in the minds of survivors every game. It literally throws a wrench in survivors every time someone gets hooked whether the killer has it or not.

If it were actually true that you "shred" with them, then you wouldn't have made your initial argument in the first place. Someone who actually plays or mains killer knows there's a lot more to winning than simply "existing" for those characters. Challenging me to a KYF match is a really juvenile thing to do just because I called you out on your lack of experience playing as those killers. As for the "little boy" comment, that gave me a chuckle.
1 -
I think the kyf challenge was to show like he said how do you have long chases against the aforementioned killers. Can you have long chases with a good Sprite or deathslinger or is your counter to gen rush which is complained about?
0 -
You can have long chases with either of them, admittedly spirit is harder to do this with than deathslinger, but once you understand their mechanics and the weaknesses they have, all you have to do is adapt/change your playstyle to accommodate for them.
Some examples:
Spirit can't directly see survivors when she is phasing, so here's a fun tip against spirit: run to a pallet when you suspect she's phasing during a chase, and then drop it, but not from the other side as you would if you were being chased by a normal killer, Instead you simply run up to the pallet and drop it in front of you. The reason being that the spirit player will see your scratch marks heading to the pallet, and will 99% of the time go around try to catch you on the other side of it, but if you drop it in front of you instead of behind you... more often than not you'll see her appear on the other side where she thought you would be.
As for Deathslinger, He has 5 separate slowdowns just for using his power: Striking, aiming, reeling, cooldown/stun, and reloading. The most any other killer has is 3, so having this many slowdowns on an already slower than average killer is a bit of overkill for him that you and your team can take heavy advantage of. One of my favorite things to do against a deathslinger is to play pretty normally until he injures me, then do my best to put a pallet between us and drop it before he gets close. The reason for this tactic is because you force him to try and go for a shot in order to stop the pallet drop, but 9 times out of 10, even if he spears you, the pallet still drops with you on the opposite side and he can't finish you off. Obviously, its not good to do this with some unsafe pallets, but doing it with safe ones or even god pallets means he'll have to snap the chain/take a stun, break the pallet and reload before continuing the chase, which gives you distance and your team even more time to finish gens. Most of the time a good deathslinger will abandon you to go put pressure on gens after they've been hit with this tactic, but if they continue the chase, use the LoS blockers on the maps until you find another pallet to put between you and him, then rinse and repeat.
Also unlike Huntress, deathslingers spear has a much smaller hit box, so its relatively easy to dodge once you see him raise his gun. As the OP has said though, good deathslingers will feign aiming in order to get you to wiggle so they can close distance, but even the good ones will take a shot if they see you heading to a pallet or window. With that in mind, keep putting LoS blockers between you, expect him to shoot when you get close to those so you can bait him by heading towards one, and then wiggle to avoid the shot and jump through the window or drop the pallet.
I have over 1000 hours of playtime as killer, and only about 200 as survivor. These tactics against these killers come primarily from my own experience against survivors using them against me, and having adopted them when playing as survivor. If you want to extend chases against Spirit and Deathslinger, these are just a few tidbits that have proved effective against them, and against me playing as them. Even so, these simple tactics are just the tip of the iceberg in counter play when opposing these killers, so while I won't say I'm an expert at playing as or even defeating these killers, I can honestly say that they have counter play, and don't simply "win by existing" as the OP claims.

You can usually tell because the killer is incapable of creating any gen pressure lol
0 -
Lmao, DS is a 5 second stun, slugging for DS is definitely survivor main behavior. Just eat it.
0 -
And that relates....
how?

The ds bluffs are actually much funner than running ds. The time I've wasted bluffing a actual camp and tunnel into thinking I have ds has saved a stupid amount of lives.

Spirit: Stands still, survivor reads it and because they're a decent survivor they were careful to put themselves into a favorable position, they pretend to run away so spirit phases after them, then double back, spirit phases through them, survivor runs away, spirit needs to wait for their power to come back. This is only one possibility of what can happen in a scenario like this.
Deathslinger: Spams ADS and slows down every time he does, survivor mildly wiggles a bit as they're running to the point where taking a shot is extremely risky, Slinger chooses not to shoot, still takes him 15 seconds to catch up to a survivor wiggling a bit because he's 110%, get hit, survivor gets sprint burst, repeat process, but it takes longer cuz survivor was further away cuz of on hit sprint burst and managed to drop sum pallets, hook survivor. Repeat process, lose game cuz gens.
Spirit is very strong, and Im not too sure i approve of them just being able to use stridor. But she has counter play that is extremely satisfying to pull off because if you do it consistently, you know exactly how she is thinking and you're in her head.
Deathslinger's power in the 1v1 is undeniable, he is very dangerous. But the game isn't 1v1. If the slinger does not go for shots, he goes extremely slowly and survivors who know this know how to juke him consistently, because they know he has to go for certain shots. If you don't use your power because you get "free zoning" then you'll get annihilated by gens if the team is even trying. If your'e a good deathslinger that knows they need to compete against gens, you'll go for shots, which good survivors might be able to anticipate, and therefore counter play happens.

A link to a post I made detailing their lack of counterplay read that most of what you said is based off of guesses. You arent much of an experienced survivor based off your hours so a good killer will down you quickly.

Your 'post' is filled with misinformation. Not really a helpful contribution to the discussion.

Exactly what misinformation did I say all the the points I made on killers were from me playing as and against. Also if we are talking about the forum it is highly killer biased but if you dont think that ok.
