As a low FPS Switch player, the game was unplayable. I’m glad it was nerfed into the ground.

Playing as survivor, no I don't miss it, the nerf made survivor much easier. Playing as killer though, I definitely miss it. That early game slowdown it provided was crucial when playing as some of the below average killer characters, without it 2-3 gens are usually repaired before you can chase down the first survivor you find and get them on a hook.

Back before the ruin nerf, i couldnt hit great skill checks so I couldnt do gens until it got cleansed. but now that i can, i kinda miss it. also i miss the hex skill check bloodpoints

I have to admit i miss having to focus to get the great skill checks to push through it. It made it more tense for me. But it was brutal for newer players...

Even some people i knew with hundreds of hours did have issues pushing through it and had to go break the totem to actually make some progress.

I personally think the ruin changes made killers run more cancerous builds

Old ruin was a gamble and only worked on players who could not hit greats or find it quickly, but it was the only option to maybe help against the dumb gen speeds. They just took it away without giving any alternative to help with the problem until the pop buff, and even then its not amazing. The main issue needs to be addressed in the core of the game. Hopefully it will with the early game collapse or whatever that they're planning.

So, as i started to play killer it had already been nerfed.

I just had one round as surv against a hag that used it. It was one of my first survivor matches and i didnt knew how to counter it.

So i ######### up every skill check and after 5 minutes someone destroyed it, but as a started it was just a pain in the ass.

Today it wouldnt be that big of an issue, i saw a lot of gameplays, so many survs just gen tapped and well, it was just annoying to play against and every killer in high ranks used it, except for meme builds.

When playing killer, you just get some though matches in high ranks, but there are plenty of other good perks, so the variation in killers playing just increased, except for the noed nabs.

It was a welcome change. Although I was unsure when the proposals first arised. I didn't use Ruin every killer match as it just seemed to get cleansed super quick. Also, in higher ranks, players are pretty good at hard skills checks. I don't miss it at all.

I didn't even use it that much because I'm not a fan of temporary perks, but some characters just feel like absolute ######### without some form of early game stalling, and I loathe corrupt intervention.

    Thanks everyone for answer ❤

Personally I have a mixed feelings about this. As the survivor you actually could have make a choice if you wanted to waste time and look for the totem or go through the all hex skill checks on gens.

Damn, I should have add a third option to answer though.

I play both sides. Didn't really mind ruin as survivor for killer it helped with killers that needed set up or low mobility killers. New ruin is ok if it stays up.

it was easily countered by any player with even a slight experience with the game. It was "annoying", and hence complained about often. My biggest problem with the change is old ruin and new ruin perform different purposes. Old ruin slows down gen progress, new ruin increases the effectiveness of pressure. New ruin rewards faster killers who don't need it, and old ruin aided all killers, which is better than not supporting the ones that need it

I play both sides and honestly, looking back at it, ruin was the most boring perk for killer and survivor.
