I wonder how long it takes for people to realise that demo can cross entire map in 3 seconds

Lately I've been hearing some people saying that the most frustrating thing for them in Billy was the fact that he could return to hook really quick and leave no space for maneur, but it seems that some people forget about the demogorgon, who has perhaps the fastest traversing ability in the game, with a little downside of having to set up portals before using itt, but once you 'net' of portals is established, you can overcome even hillbilly or oni in terms of mobility. And I'm not even talking about his shred, which is extremely oppressive chasing tool that eats pallets fast, shuts down most loops and allows to give free hits due to enormous range of the lunge

Hey, survivors, here's a new killer to call unfun and boring, just telling /s

Well there's a cooldown and survivors can seal them. I think Demo is a bottom tier killer. It's always a struggle against competent teams. I think Legion is better than he is

I don’t think anyone doesn’t know he can move around the map quickly. But the power is only weak because it has these conditions:

-The Demo had to be in that area before to place a portal

-Only active portals can give you killer instinct benefits

-Survivors typically close active portals, because it’s tactically smart to render him to a basic 115% movement.

Ok, now let’s look at Shred. Shred attacks can only shut down most loops, if the survivor allows it. The Demo would have to have a perfectly straight smooth pathing to do this as (aside from a few spots like fronts if cars) he can ONLY Shred completely straight.

Demo isn’t a weak killer because of his powers, he’s only weak because they’re too easy to counter. Against decent average survivors all playing solo, Shred is best used mindgaming. Perhaps you’re baiting a Shred to get a free M1 because cancelling it has a very short cooldown.

Everyone has their own opinions, but based on the 23k hours I’ve played this game here’s what I can say that is fact:

Most of the time, Demo has to take a basic attack hit. If you’re Shredding all game, you’re playing weak survivors that just havn’t played against Demo enough to know his counterplays. I play everyone, Demo included. I don’t think any killer is weak, just some that are weaker than others. IMO, Demo is very close to the weakest.

That was actually a huge complaint people had with Demo when he was first released, and I genuinely have no idea what happened to resolve it.

I guess demo just became very rare killer and good demogorgons are even rarer.

My guess is people realized that if Demo is setting all those portals up you can gen rush them to death.

Also just the fact that Demo needs to be on each side of the map to set up the portals means that they have to waste a lot of time doing so and if the survivors either break the portals or do gens that make those portals useless Demo would have wasted a lot of time.

Thats why corrupt intervention is a thing in the first place. If you are afraid of losing too many gens because of portal setting, bring it and your fears should be no more.

Yes then the 2nd and 3rd issues arise where your mobility is destroyable and/or rendered useless by the survivors making it so even Corrupt Intervention unable to truly help.

Thats why you must learn when exactly to place your portals and where. Even if they were to destroy them, they are granting you some tracking which can come in handy in a lot of situations.

Was that a typo? 23k hours? That's over 2 and a half years of playtime!
