Color blind people got kicked into the nuts lol
Honestly I feel so damn sorry for everyone who is colorblind or has not the best vision.
Like, you guys are dealing with ZERO support for over 4 years and now they made it even worse. Even I cant see dogshit now and I have perfectly fine eyes (last checked 2 months ago). Good luck guys, u will need it for sure now.

Those of us with color blindness are going to need them to fix the problem. This game is unplayable to me at the moment. Being able to see auras is an integral part of this game and BHVR just took away my ability to do it

After several games, even tho I don't have a bad vision, I will have one😅 And the sad thing is that rift comes soon and I don't feel like playing anymore😐️

ohhhh Im going to put on my tinfoil hat now: THIS is the plan of BHVR!! They want you not to play DbD as much so you cant fully grind the rift anymore. But they want you to unlock the tiers with money!! ohohohohoho

Well, I don't know about others but with me they failed lol I have never bought anything in DBD other than DLC chapters that are licensed 😁And I buy the rest with shards. I'm more interested in lore and challenges not cosmetics (I usually play when the rift is closed already). But I had the desire to play and start right away when the rift starts. However, I guess I'll pass for now. Besides, there are always some lags and ping problems after the update. And, of course, AURAS🤢

I will forever bump this thread until the problem is fixed. My boyfriend is colorblind and if it's in a state where normal sighted people can't see the auras, then this is a major issue.

Can’t you file a lawsuit if they don’t have colorblind options. I can recall where I heard this information or if it’s true.

I mean, i give the devs a lot of slack as i wouldnt even know where to begin to design much less balance this game.
But with all the adjustments that could have been made. With all the bugs that people have been begging to be fixed. They changed auras?
Im on these forums just about every day multiple times on those days. I have never read a post from either side indicating that auras needed changing.
Strength of perks that show auras not withstanding. There was zero reason for this. I had to blow that image up to even see that a person was downed. Crazy

Remember: colorblind accessibility would give an unfair advantage.
Kinda hard not to be petty about it when this was already an issue for ages that the community has made very apparent to the devs. now it's even worse?

When I turned 40 my vision got pretty bad. Have strong glasses but still this game is too dark for me. But guess colorblind have it even worse.

I'm not color blind but I do have vision problems. Some textures blend together to make a blob if they are certain colors and I have to really focus or squint in order for my brain to pull them apart. The color red in this game is one of those things were sometimes I don't even register it until much much later or even not at all. I'm sorry if I'm not making sense but its hard to explain how I see thing.
Since this change today my matches have gone from slightly annoying because of my eye problems to just down right impossible when it comes to aura's. I have nearly 4k hours in this game and I'm unable to find my teammates ON THE HOOK because I can't see them any more if I miss the big bubble notification. Its like I'm playing with 3rd seal all game no mater what I do. I run bond and kindred as well and the moment a survivor or killer goes behind an object my brain just seems to phase their image in and out. It actually starts to physically hurt cause I start to blink more, widen my eyes, and squint them more and more to try and get my sight to work properly.
Please please please revert these changes back. Please. For people like me who have supported this game through so much having stuff like this go through is just a kick in the head.

is it really a big deal? I mean everyone would have access to it and even high competitive games allow these options. DbD is still pretty casual

Oh, I was being facetious. That was the closest reasoning we got to why there isn't any accessibility in the game. That, and "go buy an Nvidia card and use their third party filter software" which apparently even a few colorblind people on the team have to use.
Of course, none of that even matters when it comes to things like foliage/corn and other obstacles, this new aura change, or any other design choices that directly impact colorblind players more than others.
